Taehyung's point of view

I felt an explicable level of betrayal watching Jungkook step forward and take a hold of this girl's hand, pulling her to his side with his signature nervous smile. There was a panic in his eyes though, darting between the two of us as if he'd just revealed some deep dark secret that he was hoping to hide.

He had told me he'd moved on, however I didn't realise he meant literally and that it was a hint to the fact he was in a relationship. So it was hard to hide my bitter undertones when I introduced myself with emphasis on my name; there was no way his girlfriend didn't know who I was.

My thoughts were correct, her smile fading and grip tightening on the hand in hers. Then she snapped her head up to look into her boyfriend's blanketed expression, a minor level of indignant shock at the new development. Satisified with the seed of chaos I had planted, I smirked and waved at the man with a taunting calmness, then turned and began to walk away from the two.

"Jungkook what the hell is happening?!" She snapped the moment I was out of their view. It was hard to not take pleasure in the man getting some level of bite from his girlfriend. Considering he had nearly kissed me already it was a fitting punishment for not telling either of us. Sliding down the wall in the dining room, I leant back and narrowed in on the woman's bright and outraged voice, "That's him? That's Taehyung? You said he was dead!" Okay so now I started to see the amusement in faking a death; though to be fair mine wasn't fake unlike Jungkook's had been.

"Sooyoung, I'm sorry. I... he was. He was dead. This all happened so suddenly, he's come back and I feel like I'm going to he sick everytime I see him." I could hear the obvious irritation in Jungkook's voice laced with an underlying contrast of emotion that was hard to read without seeing his body language.

Did he want me dead?

From the sharpness to his words it was the most obvious conclusion, he was pissed that I had come back, upset that I had ruined his perfect new life. Maybe I had... Maybe he was finally happy and this girl made him so. Me coming back was going to descend his life into chaos, it was the natural effect my life had on people.

"But, how is that possible?" I prayed Jungkook wouldn't say anything, as he probably had a vague idea.

"No idea..." He replied, obvious to me that he had lied through his teeth.

"You're, ok with him? Shouldn't he be arrested?"

"I swear to the gods that idiot deserves a good beating to get him back in line..." I nearly had a heart attack when a gratingly familiar voice whispered against my ear, warm hands wrapping around my waist. With the distraction of trying to listen to the conversation and also process the impact I had on others, the interuption sent a sharp protest down my spine with a jolt of my head that crumpled against the wall. The prick that had spoken beside me had the nerve to laugh whilst I cradled my head with my hands and whined into the blunt pain spreading down my neck.

"Daehyun! Don't do that!" I hissed quietly, trying to keep my voice unheard. Daehyun sighed, leaning forward and kissing the crown of my head, numbing the pain like he had with my wrists.

"Hold me so I don't murder that stupid boy of yours." I hesitantly gripped his hand, tuning back into the conversation.

I missed Jungkooks reply.

"-chopath, he can't just come back and expect you to fall at his feet! I'm going to report him-"

"Sooyoung! No." Based on the firm protest in his voice, I guessed he had said no to the idea of me being arrested; a curious thing to explore. "Please, he may have lied and hurt me. But..." He didn't finish the sentence, a higher pitch to his words that indicated a hesitancy in his decisions. "Just please, don't hurt him."

"You are lucky your boyfriend saved you, or I'd be snapping his neck right now." I elbowed Daehyun in the stomach, scowling at him.

"He's not my boyfriend."

"Ah, but you want him to be." Snickered the lowkey maniac, proceeding to wrap his arms around his body and act out a dramatised make out session with an imaginary person. The blatant teasing was more annoying than when he was stuck in my head, eyes rolling at the childish behaviour.

"I do not!" Even I heard the completely unbelievable denial and how ridiculous it was.

"Then why were you listening to his girlfriend and him talk?" I went beet red, my gaze hitting the floor. "You are so jealous right now, it's not even funny." Though he laughed anyway.

"Just shut up! Where did you go? It's been hours since I woke up, I thought I lost you."

"Just went to a strip club, do you want to come next time?"

"Kim Daehyun!" I yelled, slapping his arm as I hid my face with my hands.

"I was joking... Chill." He rubbed his arm, muttering "you're so prude" under his breath. "I had to go speak with our mother. She wanted to lecture me about you..." the mention of Venus brought a curious raise of my interest, looking up in expectant wait for an explanation. "Gods you look so pathetic. She's glad to hear you worked through the whole drowning inside your conscience thing, but said you need to find a tether to being human and that I needed to help you with it and bla bla bla, she was super grumpy it was so boring."

"I'm sorry," I murmured, surprised to hear how openly our mother had been scolding him recently.

"Gods Taehyung, stop saying your sorry for every little thing."

"I'm sorry, I just can't -" Daehyuns laugh rang out as I groaned, pressing my face into my hands. "I hate you so much."

"Hate the game not the player."

"More like hate the game and the player..."

"What's the fun in that hmm?" The teasing sneer was enough to make me spiral, body shuddering under the touch of his warm hands on my thigh. "Whose hands do you think these should be?" He whistled against the shell of my ear, fingers squeezing the skin that tensed under each carefully coordinated touch. It was hard not to breathe out a shaking sigh at the contact. When I looked up Daehyun had an irresistibly devilish smile on his face that proved he had a motive to all this teasing.

"Fine, if you must hear me say it," I spoke with a playful sneer, realising what it was he was waiting to hear. Deep down I was thankful that he was bold enough to push, because seeing that girl hold Jungkook's hand had nearly extinguished any hope I'd previously had. "Can you help me make Jungkook my boyfriend?"

"Hm, finally you admit it." Chided Daehyun with that unforgiving smirk, letting up on the firm hold he'd placed on my thigh to pull away. Though not without one final twist of the character he'd so enjoyed playing with,

"Of course. Anything for the precious prude princess."
