Third Person point of view

"My what?" It was hard for Jungkook to hide the disbelieving shock on his face that crinkled up his nose into a slight scowl. What did she mean by his real parent? Since the very first moment he was born his parents had raised him with a diligence and care that was to the best of their capabilities. Yes, he was a trouble child, with his strange emotions and lack of love for his parents, but they still supported him through everything. There was no way they weren't his real parents.

"Your real parent." Repeated Venus with a rumble in her throat at the clear disobedience from the man in front of her. No, maybe she shouldn't push him considering the mystery behind his heritage, but he also shouldn't push her. It took a lot of self control not to send a jolt of energy through his body to put him back in his place.

"Yes I heard you. But I have real parents, what are you talking about?" The tone continued to darken as Jungkook grew more annoyed by her assumptions. He was already getting to his feet, grip tight on his phone as he scanned the time to see he should be back at the station in five minutes.

"No, those are your mortal parents."

"Stop telling me I'm immortal!" He yelled it into the open space, wincing when a couple looked over toward them with raised concern.

"Okay, let's go somewhere else shall we?" Gritted Venus with a sigh, and with the click of her fingers the restaurant around them both dissolved. She pulled on Jungkook's wrists and guided him through the void of light until they both stumbled into a completely different atmosphere. It was the same golden room she had taken him to over a decade ago, when she had tended to his injuries and healed him. It was that moment that had truly sparked her interest in his status of mortality, considering he should have been dead. The truth was she had almost not saved him, but that darkness that surrounded him grew with his grief of seeing Taehyung injured, and it drew Venus in.

Saving him was her own stupid decision, because it meant his fate was forever tied to her. Part of that unsettled her, but another was filled with a burning curiosity to unravel this mystery of a god's missing child.

"Take me back!" Shouted Jungkook the moment he stumbled and fell to his knees, gasping out a breath as he adjusted to the artificial oxygen in the air. "I have to be back at work! My boss will kill me!"

"Jungkook we have bigger concerns than what your boss thinks of you," spoke Venus pointedly, circling the man knelt on the floor. "Besides, we are in limbo, no time passes here. I'll return you once we're done." With a grumble Jungkook staggered to his feet, head shaking the dizziness as he looked around the clutter of millennia old antiques and decadent furnishings.

"Fine, just hurry up, what do you mean when you say you found my parent?" Venus followed his every step, intoxicating perfume drowning the space in a haze of romantic desire. It made Jungkook swoon, mind flashing between thoughts of the two people he loved dearly, the sight of Sooyoung the first day they met, and her holding him and telling him it would be okay if he loved another. Then the haze floated to the son of Venus, the boy who stupefied him beyond speech. He pictured him beneath him on the bed, the way he looked up with a confidence only the son of Love could possess. "Get out of my head!" snapped Jungkook in a panic, swivelling to catch Venus tracing his every move.

"Mmm, I was quite enjoying those little flashes. You have so much love to give Jungkook, it's been kept inside for far too long." Her hands reached up to rest on both his shoulders, leaning in to tilt his chin up and inspect his skin that still had the scars of his healing. "Mortals die from this, just so you know." She felt the dramatic roll of his eyes and chuckled.
