Elliot froze up and said nothing. He didn't look animated anymore so Mia waved her hand in front of his wide eyes. "Hello?"
He didn't respond or move but just stared blankly at nothing. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that..." Mia said looking down. "I should probably leave, I'm sorry."
Mia was so embarrassed she quickly stood up and accidentally knocked over a glass of orange juice all over Elliot's lap. "Oh my god! I'm sorry!" She said closing her eyes wishing this morning never happened.
Elliot finally snapped out of his trance and tried to react like a normal person would to what just happened. "I-I-I-I-I-I" was all her can force out.
Mia quickly got napkins from the counter and tried to dry his pants awkwardly. He blocked her hands and managed to say "No, don't!" so she stopped before she could reach.
"Um..." He started to chuckle and this freaked out Mia a little bit. "Are you okay?" Mia asked cautiously.
He grabbed a roll of paper towels and attempted to dry his pants. "Yeah, I'm sorry. It's just...don't think I'm weird or anything but that was the first time...That was my first kiss..." He blushed and looked down.
"No, I didn't think about it. I just got caught up with everything I just did it." She closed her eyes again so he couldn't read her eyes.
He laughed and pulled himself closer to her hoping she would feel a little better. "I liked it though. I really wasn't expecting it."
Mia felt his breath reach her so she jumped and opened her eyes to see his cute smile. She couldn't help but smile back at him and blush a little. "So can I do it again?" She asked softly.
He stopped smiling and leaned in to kiss her but as he did the front door opened and his mom burst through the door.
"Oh my gosh! Awwww my baby is all grown up!"
"Mom I swear you ruin everything..." He blushed and stepped away from Mia slowly. He cleared his throat but before he could walk anywhere his mom already had her camera on her phone out getting ready to snap a picture. "Please just one picture Elliot?!?!"
Elliot looked at Mia and made a face ask her if it was okay and she smiled and nodded her head. Elliot's mom smiled and made them stand closer and he kept rolling his eyes when she couldn't find the perfect spot.
"Not enough light...Oh that's perfect oh wait there is boxers behind you." Then she whispered "Erin is gonna clean this house up." She moved them to the front yard and Elliot started to get annoyed so he grabbed the phone and put it on the front camera. "Smile" he said and took the picture of them. Then he handed the phone back and waved for his mom to go.
"I love your mom. Why are you so mean to her?" Mia asked.
Elliot laughed and said "I'm not mean! She knows I love her. She takes pictures for everything. You should of seen when I first went to high school...She made me take picture with the principle on the first day. But I guess it's okay because me and the principle are cool now."
Mia chuckled and said "I wish me and my mom were like that. What time is it by the way?"
"You can only take so much but whatever I love my mom. It's only 7am. I'll drive you home. School starts in an hour so you got time."
"Thanks Elliot." Mia said smiling.
