Bad Girl Gone Good

Chapter 19

Mia hugged Tia so tight. She couldn't have asked for a better best friend. 

"Thank you so much T! " Mia said through tears. 

Tia rubbed Mia's back and smiled. 

"No problem girl. I would do anything for you. You're my sister no matter what any DNA test says. " Tia said. 

Mia let go and they both laugh together at what Tia said. They walk back to their lockers and get their books for class. When Mia is closing her locker, she notices a yellolw paper. She grabs the yellow paper and sticks it in her textbook.

Sitting in Science class, she opened her textbook and grabbed the yellow paper from her textbook. It was from Elliot. A little smiled formed on her lips as she read the yellow paper.

Does what happened today make us a...you know couple?

She was happy to know that he had been thinking about her the whole morning. How could this one guy make her feel a way that no one else could.

All the guys she dated just wanted to sleep with her and when they realized that she wasn't going to go along with their plan, they bailed. She looked for a pen in her bookbag to answer his note. She found a red pen and smiled. 

She whispered, "That's perfect." to herself. 

She grabbed the red pen and drew an intricate rose with two hands going towards the rose. Underneath the drawing, she wrote

Yes silly <3

Mia could not stop smiling as she snuck over to Elliott's locker. She couldn't believe once he she read her letter, they would be a couple. She spotted his locker and ran up to it. She took his note out of her pocket and started to slip it into his locker in the crack. As she slipped it in, she felt a presence behind her and immediate darkness. 

Someone's hands were covering her eyes. She put her hand over the hands and felt them. They were soft and strong. A smile reached her lips. She knew exactly whose hands they were.

"Guess who?" said Elliott. 

Mia wanted to say Elliott, but she wanted to bother him so she said, "Jarred?" 

She said curiously, trying so hard to hold in her giggles.

"Who is Jarred?"  said Elliott annoyed. 

He spun her around and saw she was just joking. She looked at him and just busted out laughing.

"You knew it was me all along. Why did you do that?" Elliott said pouting. 

Mia looked at him and blushed. His pouting was so adorable. 

"I.. I.. I just wanted to mess with you. My bad." Mia said softly. 

She couldn't look at him when he did that. He looked so cute and it made her freeze up. She now understood how Elliott felt whenever she smiled. 

"It's okay. So I see you were stuffing something in my locker." Elliott said nervously, scratching the back of his head.

He reached over her and pulled it out. He took a deep breath and opened it. He took in the drawing and smiled. The rose was their symbol. He immediately knew it was a yes, but he read her comment at the bottom anyways. He looked at her with so much admiration. He couldn't believe he found his Scarlet, and it turned out to be Mia. The most popular girl in school. He stepped closer to her, lifted up her chin, and leaned in to kiss her. He felt her breath get caught. Mia was suprised at his boldness. She closed her eyes and waited for him to close the space. Right when she felt him close the space, she heard Tia's voice in the distance. 

"Mia! What are you doing with him?" Tia came running over and pulling Mia out of his grasps. 

Mia frowned and realized she never told Tia about him. 

"How could you be with this loser? Mia, you have some explaining to do. El loser get lost and get away from her. I don't want to see you putting your poorness on her." Tia yelled. 

Her yelling got everyone to watch the scene unfold. Mia did not know what to do. She didn't know whether to get away from Tia and run back to Elliott or walk away with Tia.

"Tia, I am not poor. And besides, why don't you let Mia decide who she wants to be with?" Elliott growled at Tia. 

He looked towards Mia with longing and hope that she would choose him this time. Mia gulped and knew what she had to do. 

"Elliott, just go. I need to talk to Tia." she said apologetically.

Mia was crushed. She could see the hurt in Elliott's eyes. He back up slowly as if his eyes were opening for the first time. 

"Fine Mia. I really thought you changed this time, but I guess not." Elliott said disappointingly, and turned around and walked off. 

Mia was so sad. She wanted to sit on the floor and cry. She didn't care that she was in the school hallway. The tears just started pouring out. Her heart told her to run after Elliott and say she didn't mean what she said. She needed to sit Tia down and explain to her what was going on. Tia turned to Mia with a smile and noticed Mia was standing there crying.

"Are you seriosuly crying over him? You can find someone way better that's richer girl. Now, come on, let's go to class." Tia said to Mia. 

Mia screamed in her head 'No Tia! I don't want anyoneelse. I just want Elliott. I don't care about money.' , but instead she just let Tia drag her to class. She couldn't wait until school was over to get out of here and just run to Elliott's house.

Mia was sitting in her room with a box of tissues and hot chocolate. She couldn't stop crying. She wish she didn't choose Tia over Elliott. She needed to make up with Elliott and set Tia straight. Mia grabbed her phone off the counter and punched in Tia's number. She waited patiently until Tia answered.

"Hey M! What's up?" Tia answered.

Mia sighed and responded, "I need to talk to you and I'm going to need you to stay silent and listen as I explain everything."
