And so we did. In retrospect I question our wisdom in comparing a bible study to the contents of a toilet, but that was not exactly our intent. Trying to work with two different versions of the bible can be more frustrating than helpful. There are so many translations of the bible with varying levels of accuracy that my Pastor has coined a new saying whenever we mention a new one....
"Is it a biblical bible?"
To my fellow theology nerds: The TLB is not a "biblical" bible. You will understand my meaning.
