Ariel's POV

It has been alright -okay so it hasn't alright, but I've been learning to cope with it. Okay so I wasn't coping alright, but that's what Dr. Cryus was for. I had to meet with her everyday after school, at least for an half hour. I liked my new school, even though the others didn't like me because of my smell, but I quickly made friends- mostly guys. They loved helping me out because I still couldn't walk. I still haven't seen my grandpa yet, and I really wanted to, but there was no way that I could make it out there in a wheelchair.

"Ariel!"

I jumped and then looked at Dr. Cryus. "Yes?"

"How are you feeling today? You seem very out of it."

"It's been two weeks since I haven't seen..." I remarked. I still wasn't able to say his name. It's even worse now because of what the principle told me.

"It will get better, Ariel. I will help you get through this." Dr. Cryus said, softly, "Now, how are your legs doing?"

"I try walking every day, but I can't."

"The doctors are working on it."

"They aren't going to find anything." I whispered.

"They will." She said, "So you are still not able to say his name?"

"You know him?"

Her face flushed, "Well, you could say that."

My eyes went wide. Did my...bed her? "Did he...?"

"Oh, no, I didn't want to lose my job. He tried a couple of times, but he gave up. He is quite the little wooer."

"Yeah." I bowed my head. He took my virginity and left me.

"Let's move on to a different topic. Last time we talked, you were talking about your dream. Did you have the same dream last night?"

"No. I didn't dream last night."

"Okay, then tell me what happened in that dream you had the night before."

"It was dark, and blurry."

"Try to remember."

"I was sleeping and golden eyes were watching me through the window. I heard glass shatter and I screamed. I tried to run away but I couldn't move fast enough. I couldn't go into my wolf form. I felt teeth sink into my flesh - I don't see why this is important." I said.

"Do you think it was Eli?" She asked. Eli. My breathing became shallow. "Okay, new topic. How is your relationship with Julie going?"

My breathing returned back to normal, "It's fine, why?"

"Just making sure that you two are still friends."

"Can we be done for today?"

"Ariel, you need help, and that is why I am talking to you."

"I don't need help. Everyone decided for me that I needed it."

"But you do." Dr. Cryus said, "Alright, I will make you a deal, if you can say his name I will let you walk out right now." I opened my mouth to say his name but no words came out.  I bowed my head sadly, "Yeah, you need help. I know you feel like it will pass and you are hoping that one day you will wake up and you will be able to walk. Let me ask you something, Ariel, do you think that Eli will come back for you?"

I clentched my chest, and my breathing was shallow, "May...be"

"Maybe? You're answer should be no." Dr. Cryus said, "Now, the first part of the Separation was started. He rejected you, he moved on. Now it's your turn to reject him. In order to get passed this, you have to accept that Eli is not coming back."
