Chapter 10 Ariel

Ariel's POV

I stood outside the doors of the school. Julie was next to me. We were waiting for at least a few minutes, and Julie was already getting impatient.

"Julie, you don't have to come with me." I said.

"I don't care, I just don't want to go home." Julie whined.

"What about your mom?" I asked.

"Fuck my mom!" Julie shouted, "She's the one that married the bastard in the first place."

"It's not her fault. She was sick and she couldn't take care of you by herself."

"You mean she's still sick and her fucking husband won't take her to see a doctor. You know he's waiting for her to die." Julie hissed, "He wants me for all for himself."

"That's not true."

"Ariel, you know shit about my life!"

"I would, if you would let me in."

"You are not allowed in my world."

"But you're allowed in mine? That''s not fair, Julie."

"Trust me you want nothing to do with it."

"What does he do to you?" I asked, in a whisper.

"He punishes me a lot."

"What are the punishments?"

"Hello, ladies."

We turned to see Eli approaching us, "Hey, Eli." I smiled.

"Is everything okay?" Eli asked, "I do apologize for running late, the meeting was a lot longer than I attended."

"Is Julie allowed to come with us?" I asked, for her.

"No humans. Sorry."

"Please, Eli." I begged.

"Oh what the hell." Ei smiled, "I am going to be burning in hell anyways. I would love to see how everyone will react to a human who knows of our existence."

"You're not half bad." Julie said, then quickly added, "For a woman user."

Aww, they're bonding!

We started to head for the forest. My heart was pounding in my chest. What if I was their Alpha? What if they had no idea on who I was? Would this be worth it? I didn't want to be rejected again, I was so scared, yet, so excited that I will meet others like me. Even if I am not their Alpha, I could always join Eli's pack. He will be Alpha soon, so the others can't question him, right?

We followed the dirt path for a while, "This forest is kind of creepy." Julie remarked, as she looked all around her, "Are we there-"

A huge pack of wolves came over the hill and towards us. My heat pounded in my chest, knocking on my ribs. Eli morphed and so did I. Julie just stood there unable to move. I got in front of her. I would protect her from them.

They stopped a few feet away from us, and an old grey wolf crawled over to me.

"Victoria." The old wolf let out, "Victoria, my daughter, how is that you are standing before me? I must be dreaming. Victoria, have you not perished in the depths of those flames that haunt my dreams every night?"
