Ariel's POV
I groaned as I threw my head on the inside of my math book, "I am so failing that math test."
"Well, I'm doing worse than you I can't even get past Section 4." Julie snorted.
"Hey, girls, I won't let any of you fail that test, so let's go over it again."
Julie and I groaned in unison.
"We already went over it five times!" I shouted.
"Well, then one more time won't kill you, my dear." Eli smiled, and then he turned to look at the front door, "Someone is at the door."
"No there's not. I didn't hear a knock." Julie scoffed.
The door nob turned and my mom walked in, "Hi, mom."
"Hi, girls. Hello, Eli." My mom smiled, "What are you working on?"
"We're studying for that stupid math test." I moaned.
"And I'm teaching them." Eli said. Of course, he just had to say that and make us look dumb.
"Well, good, the girls could use a tutor."
"Eli, how do you solve that problem? And why did you use a foreign format?" Julie whined.
"It's not foreign." Eli smiled,"Here I will show you one more time."
"No, I get it when you show me, but I can't do it by myself."
"Oh, sure you can. You did it right here." He said, as he hoovered over her shoulder and pointed to the correct problem. He was inches away from Julie and that bothered me. A low growl escaped from my throat. Julie and Eli turned to face me. Eli understood right away and he came back over to me. I didn't realise I was a jealous type. He put his arms around me.
Ariel, there is no need to be jealous. You are my mate.
But I couldn't help it. My mate didn't need to be hovering over another girl like that.
My mom changed from her work clothes into comfy clothes and headed in the kitchen to start working on dinner, 'What do you, girls, want for dinner? You are working awfully hard, so I let you decide as a reward to keep up the good work."
I loved my mom. I could be having the worst day in the history of worst-days-ever, and she could make it better. Hell, she didn't have to say much, all she has to do is comfort me.
Julie and I looked at each other, and we turned to my mom, "PIZZA!"
"I am not making a homemade pizza again. That's the third time this week. Seriously, you need a variety of foods to make you strong and healthy." My mom remarked. Julie and I gave her the sad, pouty face, "I am not making pizza, I'll order it."
We smiled, "Thanks mom!"
"You're the best, Mrs. L."
"I hope you don't mind, Eli."
"I don't eat pizza." Eli said.
"Then what do you eat?" I asked. I might be a werewolf, but I ate regular human food.
"I eat raw things."
"But I don't eat raw things." I said, "How come you do?"
"Why would you think that it has something to do with you?"
"Oh I thought you were implying that it was a werewolf trait."
His eyes went wide, "Ariel, your mom-"
"She knows everything." I said, 'Don't worry she doesn't know anything about you."
"Am I missing something?" My mom asked.
