She hadn't been sleeping last night, as she laid awake restlessly in her room, contemplating about stuff she hadn't not need to contemplate about if she hadn't been in the Avengers to be in the first place. She thought she did what was right, she thought that it'd be the right choice so she could wipe clean the red in her ledger, but when issues like this, she wasn't sure she made the right choice. This, is far more complicated, she can't depend on her knowledge, definitely not on calculations but she must depend on her heart. The thing is, she doesn't know how.Early in the morning, everybody had gathered, including Barnes, somehow, Wanda managed to interact with him while the rest simply gave a reluctant smile and addressing him by his last name, still unforgiving for what he have done to Natasha, the Black Widow, to be reduced into a weeping mess.
The training went well, like it used to be, except Steve was rather acting strangely. While addressing strategies and team ups, he would intentionally make sure that Natasha wasn't anywhere near him, pushing her away so that she would be with Bucky instead. Although she can work together with anyone, it was unlikely for Steve to pair her up with someone else, they were usually together, always together in training that one would know what the other would do before it is actually done- the perfect duo.
Wanda, being young, curious and telekinetic, she definitely knows what is going right there and then, so she decided to confront Steve after she recognized that look of disappointment and overflowing thoughts inside Natasha's head right after he announced the team ups and he haven't even looked at her once from the start, not even when addressing her as Romanoff. This rift between the two, isn't making the team any better, it's going to bring it down, Wanda knows.
"Why aren't you with, Nat? Then, I'll be with Clint again, like the usual," Wanda tried to reason with Steve.
"No, Wanda, you have to learn to work with whoever I team you with, you never know what situation we'll ever be going through."
"But, Clint and I-"
"That's enough Wanda. Romanoff is not working with me today, so what's your problem?" He snapped at the young brunette. Wanda gasped at him so does the rest, he have never been this rude before to her or to any of them.
"If you wouldn't listen to your teammates opinion, disrespecting them, you expect me to respect you? I know you have problems with Natasha, but don't bring it here. You're bringing the team down," Wanda snapped back at him, her accent thick as ever, looking at Natasha then at Steve, before stomping out of the room.
"She got a point, Captain," Thor backed Wanda, recognizing the said problem.
"I didn't sign up for this, we're a team, Rogers. Whatever problems you have outside this, don't bring it here. Finish it," Tony spoke up.
"I don't have a problem with, Romanoff or anyone," Steve said, voice stone cold.
"Damn right you don't, you wouldn't even look at her. You didn't even call her by 'Natasha' today, Rogers. There's enough wars going on already and you don't need to bring back the Cold War."
Suddenly, their training was turned into war of the words. Bucky tried to calm them down but nobody listens, everyone backing up for what they think was right. As of this moment, everyone was against Rogers for being 'unprofessional' and 'rude'. Natasha had enough, this fight just made her choices even clearer.
"Enough! That's it! I'm leaving," she said rushing outside the room, Clint and Bucky rushed behind her, calling after her.
"If she walks out, I do too," Tony said.
"Me too," Sam and Thor said in unison, Bruce nodded along.
Natasha was somehow the one that kept them together, that kept them sane through the months of training, her sarcasm, her wit, her eagerness to work even harder brought them together, brought life to the building. She was the sister figure to Wanda, the disciplinary master to Tony, the little sister to Clint, the health adviser to Sam somehow, the one who always teaches Thor not to smack the TV with mjolnir, the one that keeps Bruce calm and not in his green form, the only reason Barnes stayed.
"You better make her stay, Rogers," Tony warned him, pointing a finger towards his face and stormed off the training hall.
"Congratulations, Cap. You officially made our team ripped into pieces, well done," Sam said, clearly disappointed of Steve's behavior.

"Natasha you can't just leave us!" Clint said as Natasha was shoving her stuff into a bag.
"You told me it was my choice, so shut up."
"I didn't mean it, Nat. Don't leave."
"Natalia, don't leave. Please. If I am the reason you don't wanna stay then I'll leave. Please, stay," Bucky said softly.
"No, James, it's not you don't worry."
"If you leave, we'll leave," Clint said, hoping it'll change her mind, but she was stubborn and he knew it.
"The team needs the best archer and the best marksman, so you need to stay. Say whatever you want to say but I'm leaving, that's it."

Walking through the hallways of buildings took some time, considering the fact that the Avengers' building was the furthest from the main building. She reminded herself that tomorrow, she doesn't need to walk this far ever again if ever she needs to talk with Fury. Hill spotted her walking towards his office, so she ushered her inside.
"Fury."
"Romanoff. I heard you found out who snooped around your files, I didn't expect Carter would do such a thing. I gave her extra work to do as a punishment, if she doesn't get the work done, she doesn't get to graduate from the academy."
"That wasn't necessary, Sir."
"Who does she think she is she gets to do that without permission and clearance, that file was off her limits."
"I'm not here to discuss that matter, Fury," she paused for a while and Fury was looking closely at her, listening to what she's about to say.
"I'd like to request reassignment. I'm resigning from the Avengers."
