Stepping into the room, our eyes widened at the sight of it. It seemed that this place was the Founders throne room.
"Huh." Lukas was surprised "She's not even in here. Strange"
"She's probably down there guarding that Eversource!" Ivor burst out "What were you thinking?!"
Lukas turned toward him, clearly annoyed by Ivor's attitude "What was I thinking? I was saving our asses, is what I was doing. Unlike you, who just made Reginald even angrier"
"At least I knew what I was doing, you idiot! What did you think we were going to do? Save them from the Blaze Rods and then magically be granted passage home? We're criminals!"
Petra turned from guarding the door to notice the action. I was just awkwardly stood in the middle of them.
Lukas argued "We wouldn't be criminals if you hadn't have turned us in!"
Ivor responded "Oh and I suppose you had a better idea? Because I never saw you suggesting anything!"
"It's a bit hard when you just threw us under the bus! Like the traitor you always have been!"
I probably should've said something.
But I didn't.
Their voices just sounded like a blur to me. I was too preocupied thinking on how we could defeat the Blaze Rods and still get home. And also get some much needed information from Aiden.
"Right Jesse?"
Crap. I was cut out of my thoughts to notice them all looking at me. I turned to Petra who had asked the question "What?"
She rolled her eyes in annoyance "They need to calm down and figure out what we're gonna do next. Right?"
"Oh uh yeah.. right." I shrugged.
She sighed and the others looked on awkwardly. I pointed to the minecart rail "We should head down there"
"No" Lukas shook his head "Reginald told us to wait there"
"And the Blaze Rods could be escaping or doing anything down there. We need to go. Now" I ordered.
"You can go. But I am staying here." Lukas folded his arms. He was being petulant.
I stiffly replied "Fine."
I began to head toward the minecart rail. Ivor said "I'm with Jesse on this. Better get there before any outside interference."
I turned back toward Petra.
"Are you coming?" I asked.
She awkwardly looked between Lukas and I. "I.. I think I'll stay"
I frowned "What and miss out getting some payback on the Blaze Rods? That's not like you"
"Yeah and it's not like you to be all about the revenge"
I didn't know what to say.
As we stared at eachother, Ivor pulled the minecart up and hopped in.
I felt annoyed with her. I thought she would've stood by me on this.
She continued "Jesse, just wait for the Founder. It's no use taking matters into your own hands. It'll get us nowhere"
What. A. Hypocrite.
"Coming from the person who always used to take matters into her own hands"
I tried to speak as calmly as I could. We'd only just became friends again, I didn't want to cause a massive deal now.
"This is different Jesse. Do you really wanna abandon their trust now when we've just got it?"
...
"I don't care"
With that, I stepped into the minecart. As it started, Petra watched. Confused. Annoyed. Disappointed. It was hard to distinguish which - maybe it was just a mixture.
But I had to get my payback. And the Flint and Steel. And the Eversource.
My eyes locked with hers for one last moment before the entrance to the secret door closed and we were seperated from eachother.
The ride down on the Minecart was bumpy. The cracked walls began to show again.
"They should really get themselves a paint job done down here or something. Make it more interesting to come down here to" Ivor noted.
If there was one thing he loved other than treasure, it was interior design. Weird thing for a mad man to like, but oh well.
"They probably wanna make it look as subtle as possible" I shrugged.
Just as I spoke, the minecart came to a hard holt. We grunted as it lunged us forward slightly. We had arrived at our destination.
All around us were chests.. labelled?
As I jumped out of the minecart, I took a closer look at the signs for the chests. Zombies.. endermen... sheep.... spiders....
"How interesting" Ivor commentated, tugging at his beard.
"I wonder what they're doing down here"
Suddenly, a noise of another minecart was heard. Glancing at eachother, Ivor and I rapidly pulled out our swords.
The minecart pulled up at the halt...
Oh crap.
Milo.
Milo stepped out of the minecart, clearly annoyed and yet mesmorised by what he was seeing. Ivor pointed his sword forward "What are you doing here?!"
"I could ask you the same question" He turned toward me "Jesse why have you not been reporting back?!"
"I forgot" I admitted slightly sheepish. I'd completely forgotten about keeping in touch. "I told Milo I would get his Build Club the Eversource..." I informed Ivor.
Ivor. looked. so. pissed.
He looked Milo up and down "Why would you need her to report back?"
"What?"
"Well you seem to have made it perfectly by yourself down here. Why do you need Jesse?"
"The only reason I got here was because of your friend Petra and that other guy. She told us where you were because I asked"
Of course she did
"Well we're here. In this place"
Milo eyed up a sign closest to him "What is a... Creeeperrr?"
Ivor facepalmed "Oh dear"
"You don't wanna know"
His eyes widened then he nodded. Creepers weren't the worst thing.. just the most explosive. Aside from a ghast.
Bending down, I reached into the chest that was labelled "Sheep". Out of it I pulled.. a white and pink egg?
"Huh."
"Eggs? The sign says sheep not eggs?" Ivor commented from behind me. Milo stood at the other side.
"You may as well throw it and give it a shot" He suggested. I chuckled a tiny amount "You just wanna see what it does"
"My curiosity peaks at night. Sorry!"
Standing up, I took my best shot and threw it at a wall.
Oh my god.
A sheep emerged!
"Is that a monster?! Well.. I mean its not so bad. It is fluffy!" Milo walked closer, inspecting it.
Wait.
"Guys does this mean the Eversource makes eggs? Like makes monsters and animals?"
"It would explain the food supply" Milo nodded.
"I think we should take a better look around... See if the Eversource is down here"
So what we were dealing with, was an egg spawning pet. Shouldn't be too difficult, right?
