I placed the final block I needed to before being on the bridge again. My arms were aching wildly after placing all the blocks down but I knew more arm work was to come.
From around the 300th block, I could see the commotion that was happening above. But to be on the same level, was a whole other story.
Stepping into Sky City? More like entering the Witherstorm War again.
Ghasts were flying high in the air, zombies were attacking, spiders were launching, creepers were exploding. Not to mention the Endermen removing all the precious blocks of Sky City.
I ran into Sky City as fast as I could only to be greeted by more violence. Almost instantaneously, a zombie came from behind and tried to attack. Luckily, I jabbed my sword before it could.
Unfortunately.. others weren't so lucky. Avoiding the pile of bodies, I ran my way around trying to help as much as I could. Stabbing mobs with my sword was the least I could do.
But saving people wasn't what I was really here for.
I ran toward the Sky City podium; where I had yesterday first seen Isa for the first time. Maya and Gil were standing where she stood - throwing new mobs at someones way.
I could tell it was someone because the aim wasn't random...
It was..
Petra!
As fast as I could, I ran up to her. Just as I did, Gil aimed a creeper at her that was near explosion. But she didn't notice as she was fighting a spider.
Leaping on top of a dead zombie, I pushed Petra as hard as I could onto the spider.
Saving people wasn't what I was here for - but she was my exception.
...
Oh crap I landed on top of her.
She grunted as I promptly pulled her to her feet. She turned around to face me with a massive graze on her cheek "Jesse?! I thought-"
I cut her off, quickly glancing back at Maya who threw another creeper at us. I pulled her out of the way again before grabbing her arms, making her look at me.
"No, I'm here. Isa and Lukas are down below but I need you to get out of here Petra"
"Get out of here?! We need to save the people Jesse!"
"I know. But you need to be safe"
"I don't think now is the time to be- Look out"
She quickly wrapped her arm around my upper back making me duck forward as a zombie was launched our way.
"Petra" I looked at her "Please, go!"
"I can't I'm sorry!"
Before I had the chance to reply, she had run off trying to help others.
Briefly, I stood there and watched. Then turned back to Maya and Gil. They threw a creeper my way and it was far too close for comfort.
Before I could even gasp, two hands grabbed onto my leg and dragged me down behind some blocks. The explosion made it look like I disappeared.
I looked up to see Ivor.
"Ivor?"
"Jesse! Good, you're alive" He looked down at his pockets and started sorting his potions
"We don't have time for a potions lesson Ivor!" I yelled to which he thrusted a swiftness potion in my hand.
"Take it, quick! Aiden's in the throne room with the Eversource - get it!!"
Without really thinking or responding, I grabbed the swiftness potion and almost threw it down my throat. I soon felt the effects.
Within a blur of a moment, I ran as fast as I could up and past Maya and Gil. That was before giving them a taste of their own medicine by tripping them up using spider loot.
Zooming down the hallway, I finally found myself at the start of Isa's throne room. Through the doorway, I could see Aiden sat casually on the throne, holding the chicken close to him. Reginald was stood in front of him, clearly arguing by the sounds of it.
But did Aiden care?
No.
Because he's a sly selfish ba-
"Get out of my face Reggie!" I heard him bellow
"You're delusional Aiden! The Founder would've never bowed to the likes of you!" Reginald replied angrily.
I drew my sword out. It was time.
"You killed the Founder and her daughter!!!" Reggie screamed at him
"Yeah? Well you're gonna be next if you don't shut up!"
"Why listen here, you-!"
My time to shine.
I kicked the door open, making both of them look toward the door. Astounded.
"This is between you and I, Aiden" I growled.
"Leave Reginald out of it".
For once, Aiden was almost speechless "You-I saw you!! You went down!!"
"You're alive?!" Reginald was shocked but pleased "Is the Founder with you?! I heard-"
"Agh!!" Aiden screamed as he hit Reginald in the back with a creeper. He was clearly infuriated by me being alive. The feeling was mutual.
Luckily, the creeper just exploded only near his feet, making the damage bad. But not life threatening
"Reginald!" I went to go forward to help but Aiden's yells stopped me "Not one more step"
We were face to face with eachother.
"I killed you once Jesse. I can do it again"
"I don't think so Aiden."
Suddenly, a rage I had never felt unleashed. It was like I was Aiden for these moments. The anger consumed me.
"You think it would be that easy?! You think you can kill me?! Now I want an answer-"
"Just DIE ALREADY!" He screamed, cutting me off. But I wasn't giving in.
"I WANT AN ANSWER! When we were fighting the Witherstorm, I wanna know something. How did Reuben end up in there?! How did he end up on that cannon?!"
He stopped his anger.
He replaced it with a smirk.

"Because I threw him on there." He said slowly "You and your pig ruined everything. I thought you both were going to die in there. I was relieved. But then, then I saw that pig fall. Right above me. I couldn't believe it, I couldn't believe he survived. But if he survived, you wouldn't be far behind. And I couldn't have YOU and an ANIMAL taking my deserved glory! So I simply, just moved out of the way. And he splattered on the floor. His bones crushing. Just like you will be doing, after dealing with me"

I was going to kill him.
