You can't believe this is happening. You can't believe that you bought your first apartment in Barrie, Ontario with the love of your life, Roy. The two of you have been together for what seems like forever, so this is a huge step in your guys' relationship.

When you guys first met in your freshman year of high school, you thought that Roy was kind of annoying. But then during your late sophomore year, you found out that he really liked you. As you got to know him better, you realized that you really liked him too. Then, at the beginning of your junior year, you guys started dating. And you've been together ever since then; you're almost four years strong now.

"Hey, babe," Roy calls out. "Can I get some help unpacking and decorating in the living room, please?"

You stop unpacking everything that belongs in the kitchen and walk into the empty living room where Roy is. "What do you need help with?" You ask.

"Your pictures are in that box," he states, pointing to a box. "I know you wanted to hang them on the wall for decoration and you're much better at decorating than me."

You were always into art; you always have been since you were younger. As you got older, you realized that a more specific art, photography, was your strongest suit. And you really enjoy taking pictures.

You had printed and framed a bunch of pictures you took to decorate your new apartment with. Roy always tells you how much talent you have with photography and how he loves all of your pictures. You had also picked a few pictures of you and Roy to decorate with.

You start to go through the box of picture frames to pick out which picture or pictures would go best in this room. As you're looking through, you notice one picture frame is missing. It was one of your favorite pictures of you and Roy. You were almost positive that you had packed that picture. "Roy, I think I'm missing one of my favorite pictures," you sigh.

"Oh no, that's not good. Are you sure you packed it?" He questions.

"Almost one hundred percent sure," you answer. "Have you seen any frames laying around?"

"No. Well, which one was it?"

"My favorite one of us on the beach."

Roy shifts his gaze to the wall and says, "that one?"

You look at the wall and see the picture hanging up on. "Yeah, that one," you reply.

"Yeah, I already hung that one up," he explains. "What do you think? Is that a good place to hang it up in here? Or should we hang it somewhere else? Also, is the frame straight enough so that it's not crooked?"

You glance at the frame, "it looks fine."

Roy walks behind you and gently pushes you to get closer to the frame. "No, like really inspect it. I want to make sure it's perfect for you."

You sigh and then chuckle as you start to inspect the picture. But, you don't inspect the straightness of the frame. Instead, you inspect the picture itself and the memories that come with it.

The picture is perfect: the two of you walking across the sand barefoot, holding hands. The sun is set where it looks like it's touching the water.

You shake out of your thoughts and turn around to face Roy and say, "Roy, I don't see why there's a need for me to.." You stop midsentence and see your boyfriend down on one knee. He's holding open a box with a shiny, beautiful ring. "..inspect the picture," you finish your sentence slowly.

Then, you ask, "Roy, what's this?"

"Y/N," he starts. "Ever since we started dating in high school, my life got a whole lot better. You've helped make me into the person I am today and I'm really happy you're a part of my life. You're beautiful, kind, and just overall an amazing person. Getting to spend the past few years with you was great, but getting to spend forever with you will be even better. I know we're still young and we both still have a lot of life still ahead of us, but I want to be a part of each other's futures. So, Y/N, will you do the honor of becoming my wife?"

Tears of happiness form in your eyes. "Yes! Of course!" You say. Both of you smile as Roy puts the ring on your finger.

You giggle as he pulls into a hug and gives you a passionate kiss. You couldn't wait for this next big step towards your future with Roy. And neither could your new fiancé.
