Lana
It's been a week.
Tori was dead, Bette was gone, but I was still here in the organization waiting for something to happen. I guess I was just too afraid to leave.
I wasn't sure if Caitlin would even want me there with her. It's been so many years since she's seen me since I've actually talked to her. Sure I sent her letters but it isn't the same. It was a one way talk, I sent her letters that only let her know I was still alive. And here I was sitting in the hallway outside my room wondering what to do next. Wondering why it was too difficult to choose to do something for myself.
"Still here?" Leo says walking in the hall "You know when I said you could leave I didn't think you would actually stay here. Bette sure enough took her chance and got out of here."
"But I know that look," he says kneeling down "when I joined the organization I did it to protect my family. I was what they wanted, I'm good at what I do and that's killing. You know it was a competition between this organization and AliPhil. They both wanted me but I chose this one. And then right after I took the oath my family was murdered. I only had my brother but soon after he died also"
I look at him waiting for him to continue.
"AliPhil was angry that I didn't choose them. All I wanted was to keep my family safe. If I could I would give anything for a chance to be with them again" he says "You still have your family Lana don't toss it away because you're afraid"
"I just-" I begin "What if she doesn't want me there"
"She will even if she doesn't know it" he says "Keep an eye on each other will you? AliPhil won't be happy with what happened. They will want revenge on Bette and you. Now get out of here before I change my mind"
He stands and helps me up also.
"Thank you Leo" I hug him
"Anytime Lana" he says
"call me for anything you might need" I say
"Oh I will when I need you" he says walking away
I entered my room and packed my bags as quickly as I could before I could change my mind. This was really happening. I was going to move to Central City to be with Caitlin. I just hoped she wanted me there.
My clothes and suit were in one bag and weapons in another the way we all basically packed here. I grabbed a smaller bag and hung it over my shoulder. I put all the money I had made over the years along with smaller weapons. I need to be careful now more than ever. With everything that has happened it was better for me to be near Caitlin to be sure she was safe. I grabbed all my bags and walked to the main hall of the building.
I watched as Leo talked to the new recruits. More guards stood along the walls making sure everything was safe. Leo looked at me and I smiled. He smiled at me and gave a wave goodbye. In all honesty I was kind of going to miss this place in a way. There was never a dull moment here; it was a place I had grown so used to. This place has taught me more than I could think. It has prepared me for more than life.
