Chapter Two

After not being able to sleep the previous night, I decided to get up and make breakfast. After all it was Saturday and I was free from work and Hailey from school. I was so glad they didn't make me work today, I mean don't get me wrong, C ST. Bistro was great. It was a cute little mom and pop restaurant, the customers are usually really nice, it's when the tourists stop in that makes me want to shoot myself.

Carefully, I got out of bed so I wouldn't wake up my sister. Although there were two beds in this big room, she got use to sleeping near me and always ended up by my side.

I decided on going simple and making breakfast sandwiches, even one for Ty. In the past two months that I've lived here, I've actually built some type of friendship with Tyler. I got along with him surprisingly well, considering I'm not much of a people person. I guess with both of us always having smartass remarks towards each other , we ended up getting along. Sometimes I'd have to catch myself because our play word fights would eventually end up with one of us on top of the other. Like last week...

"Would you please get your fat ass off the couch and come help me?" I said, feeling exasperated.

"But only women belong in the kitchen, you should be fine." He smirked.

"Exactly why you belong here too silly, that's why I want you to come help me."

"Sawyer, do we really have to go through this again? You know I have no problem proving to you that I'm all man." He winked.

"Just stop being a little bitch and come help me! I need to chop the carrots while you take care of the chicken. And I swear to God you better not burn it, like last time." I said, remembering the last time he helped me. He had gone back to the living room to see if it was the Broncos or the Raiders who made the last touchdown and had forgotten to watch the stove and burned our food, setting off the smoke alarms. Which, by the way, are really hard to turn off.

He walked into the kitchen and wrapped his hands around my neck pretending to choke me. "What did you just call me?" He asked.

"Oh did I stutter, little bitch?" I knew it was a bad idea calling him that, knowing very well he hated it, but had I not he would have stayed sitting on the couch.

Without even thinking he slung me onto his back and carried me to the living room. "Okay Shrek can you put me down?" There was no use in resisting, considering there was no way he was going to put me down till he felt like it.

With one swift move he threw me onto the couch and proceeded to sit on my stomach. "You fat fuck! Get off me! You're going to cause some internal bleeding!" I screamed.

"Would you like to repeat that lovely word you called me earlier?" He tempted.

"Little bitch", I managed to mutter out.

"That's it." He positioned himself off of my stomach, only to straddle me in between his legs as he pushed my arms above my head so I couldn't hit him.

"Tyler if you even try to spit on me I will make sure you are incapable of ever having kids." I knew this would happen but it was still worth calling him names once in a while. I didn't know him all that well, but I knew him well enough to know that he would most definitely spit on me.

His smile widened and he started letting the spit in his mouth barely hang before slurping it back into his mouth.

"That is so nasty!" I screamed. Hailey was on a play date so I didn't even care about how loud I was being.
