Chapter Eleven
TYLER'S P.O.V
I walked out of that hospital feeling two things: guilty and happy.
I still feel guilty for all the shit I put sawyer through the last couple of days. There's so much I wish I could take back. How stupid could I have been to blatantly open the door without seeing if it was her or not.
I didn't want her to go down to the pool by herself, but there was really no talking her out of it. Besides, what were the odds of something bad happening to her anyway? I'm sure they were slim.
I decided to take a quick shower while she was gone. I needed to be clean if I was going to try to sleep on the bed with her tonight. Not like that, not what you're thinking, as much as I would want it to be like that, this was purely for sleeping purposes. I was getting sick and tired of sleeping on the couch ever since the night I tried to kiss her. I can see it in her face that she's scared, I don't see why, maybe a bad break up or something? I don't know, but I actually like this girl. As stupid as it may sound, I've never met anyone like her and I don't want to be just friends with her. And I know she doesn't either.
As soon as I turned off the faucet, I heard a knock at the door.
Of course. She would forget the room key. I thought.
I still had my clothes in my duffel bag so I quickly rapped a towel around my waist and stretched my arm out of the bathroom, which was just the right of the door, and turned the knob. After I opened it, I brought my body back into the restroom to brush my teeth.
While putting the toothpaste on the brush I opened the door slightly and said, "Did you find your earring?"
I didn't hear an answer. Maybe she didn't hear me?
Slightly louder and with toothpaste in my mouth, I said, "Sawyer! Did you find what you were looking for?"
Still no answer.
Was she ignoring me or what? I spit out the toothpaste and rinsed my mouth and opened the door wider, peeking out to see if she was around. When I didn't see her I stepped out of the bathroom and walked toward the bedroom.
Rounding the corner I saw a pair of legs, crissed crossed, one on top of the other. As I walked further into the room, my eyes traveled up those pair of legs which led to a short skirt and further up to nothing but a bra. Only the girl in the bra wasn't the one I'd hoped it was.
"Hi handsome." She smiled seductively.
It took me a few seconds to realize she was the girl from the front desk who kept flirting with me. Normally, I would have certainly flirted back but I didn't want Sawyer to think those one night stands are still all I want. Besides, if she was jealous by just her flirting with me, I could only imagine how jealous she'd get if I flirted back.
Don't get me wrong, this girl was hot. Tall, lean, great ass, average boobs, your typical look and stare type of girl. And again, I know this sounds stupid and "gay" or whatever, but she wasn't the girl I wanted. Hell if the girl I wanted were to walk in on what was going on here, she might turn into the girl I'll never have a chance with. I needed to get this chick out of here, and fast.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked her.
"What does it look like?" She said standing up from the bed and walking toward me.
She came face to face with me, leaving little room between the both us. Bring her hands up to my bare chest, she ran them down my torso, just barely reaching the ends of my towel.
"You need to leave." I said sternly as I grabbed her hands and pulled them off me.
"Make me." She said in a teasing voice.
