Chapter 66

(Sierras POV)

Daughter? Sophie had a daughter? I'm a auntie? Why didn't Sophie tell me?

No way.

"When I met Sophie I knew she was the one for me. When we had lily it was the greatest thing in our life. I was.." Cory said scratching his head.

"I was going to propose to her the day she died" he said and everyone's head fell down.

He then started to explain what happened but he stopped. "I loved her and so did lily and we will miss her so much" he said as he took Lily's hand and went back to his seat.

Everyone clapped.

The funeral went on and I couldn't stop looking at Cory and lily. It was now time for the last viewing.

I stood up as I got in line to see Sophie. Once I went up to her, it was like I couldn't even cry anymore.

All that was on my mind was that Sophie had a daughter and her daughter won't be able to grow up with a mother.

"I promise lily will be okay" I whispered as I went in to kiss her cheek.

I swear I seen her smile.

The funeral was over and I seen Cory and lily walking over to me.

"Hi Sierra. I was Sophie's boyfriend. She's told me so much about you" he said and I smiled.

"Really nice to meet you. I had no idea that you even existed" I said and he laughed.

I looked at lily who was playing with a flower.

"Lily this is you're auntie" Cory said to lily. It felt weird, me being called an auntie.

Lily smiled at me and I smiled back. Soon Tamar came over to me.

"Hello" she said. "Hi nice to meet you" Cory said.

"How come you stopped talking about the proposing thing" I said and he got quiet.

"It was alittle to personal" he said.

"I would love to tell you guys what happened though. I feel that you deserve to know" he said.

I looked at Tamar. "Sure. Why don't you and lily come over" Tamar said.

"That's perfect. We'll just go home and change first" he said.

Tamar told him her address and he typed it in his phone.

"Okay see you soon" he said as he took Lily's hand and walked away.

I was in complete shock.

"Wow your an auntie" Tamar said. I just kept walking and thinking about it.

I walked over to the rest of the gang as we were headed to the limo.

I went to Penelope. "Thanks so much for coming" I said.

"No problem" she said.

We got inside the limo and we headed back to the house.

Vince was there and he had prepared a whole meal for us.

"Can you stay for dinner" I asked Penelope.

"Sure I'll just tell my dad" she said taking out her phone. She texted her dad and her dad said okay.

"Alright everyone you know the drill. Pray first" Ms. E said.

"Who wants to say it" she asked.

"I'll say it" diezel volunteered.

We all held hands and bowed our heads.

"Father God we thank you for this beautiful day  thank you for keeping Sierra strong. We ask that you bless this food that it will be good to our bodies in Jesus name. Amen" he said and everyone said amen.
