Zootopia~Our Last Case

Chapter 2

We were about to walk in when Judy grabbed my arm, "Nick, wouldn't people in there notice us," she asked.

I thought about for a second before shrugging, "Well just keep your head down and hopefully no one does." I said walking towards the door.

Judy rolled her eyes before following me inside.

We entered the tavern to see that it was completely empty. The only people there were the employees. We walked over to the bar and sat down and waited for the bartender to notice us. 

It was some time before a white wolf wearing a suit and an eye patch come over to us. "What do you guys want? We got all kind of alcoholic beverages," he said cleaning a glass.

"Uh, we're not here to drink. We are here to ask a few questions, about a new drug that has been spreading down here," Judy said slightly intimidated my the wolf.

"Oh, you guys undercover cops or something," he said putting the glass down.

"Something like that, now do you know anything about it," I questioned.

"Of course, I do. I am a bar owner after all. I know about everything that goes on down here," he said leaning on the bar, "What you guys want to know?"

"Well, we just want to know what it is and what's effects are," Judy said shaking a little bit.

"Ah, well I'm not completely sure what it is but I have a few friends who can help. Yo Livvy, Zoey, Orion get out here!" He yelled into the kitchen.

Three mammals walked out of the kitchen, a short snow-fox, a light red-maned wolf, and a tiger.

"Officers, I would like to introduce my team, this is Zoey," he pointed to the snow-fox, "That is Livvy," pointing to the maned wolf," that's Orion," pointing to the tiger," And I am Chris or Winters, whichever one you like best."

"Well, Winters, nice to meet you I'm Judy Hopps and that's Nick Wilde, ZPD," Judy said before I could stop her, I cringed when she said my name.

"Wait, you mean the Nick Wilde. The one who sold a rug made out of the hair of a skunk's butt to Mr. Big?" Winters asked.

"No, no totally different one," I said nervously.  

"Well, Nick, I do believe you are the same Nick and to be honest I'm glad you came in while no one else is in here or you could have ended up thrown through a window," he said smiling.

"Wait you're not gonna throw me through the window?" I asked sheepishly.

"Of course not! I am not a big fan of Mr. Big so I have no beef with you. Now let's talk, what do you want to know about our new drug?"

"Well we would like to know what it is," Judy said.

"Most people don't know. The ones we get it usually go missing. There have been tons of animals who've gone missing over the past couple of weeks," Livvy said.

"Do you any of you know where this drug might be coming from," I asked.

"Nope. It's always at parties or in back allies. So nobody knows where the stuff comes from. Rumor has it tho that's some good stuff, but that is just street gossip," Winters said.

"Do you guys have any ideas of who might behind it?" Judy asked.

"Yeah sure I have tons of theories," Livvy said before she started listing off a thousand of theories she came up with.

I zoned off when I noticed a shadow in the back of the inn, it looked kinda of like a bunny, I was about to ask about it but it disappeared, must have been seeing things I thought to myself. I disregarded it and went back to listening to Livvy.

Hope you guys liked the chapter! I am in live with this story. To be honest I like this more than my other books, so this may get faster updates than my other ongoing books. Unless people actually want me to conutine with the others then I will.

So who was that mysterios shadow? What is this new drug going around the underground city and who is selling? All these questions may be answered quite soon so stay tuned!
