Zootopia~Our Last Case

Chapter 5

~At Judy's apartment(not the one from the movie, she got a bigger one)

"So, how's the new apartment," I asked sitting down on her brand new couch.

"It's awesome! There is so much more space and get this, no loud neighbors," she said, her tail wiggling.

I smiled to myself, "What do you plan on watching and do you have popcorn?"

"I don't know, maybe we can just find some random movie. And yes I have popcorn," she said walking towards the kitchen.

I got up and ran over to the kitchen to help Judy make the popcorn. I went to grab a bowl to put the popcorn in when I heard a knock on the door. "Want  me to get it," I asked walking slowly towards the door.

"Yeah sure, just don't be an idiot," she said poking her head out of a cupboard. 

I smiled before walking towards the door. I grabbed the doorknob, then there was a much louder knock on the door, jeez someone is impatient, I thought to myself before opening the door. The second the door was fully opened I knew I messed up.

A group of wolves was standing there, all of them were wearing black masks over their heads and were carrying silenced pistols. Without thinking I slammed the door shut and jumped away from the door, in time to dodge the bullets that burst through the wooden door.

I ran to the kitchen to see Judy popping popcorn in the microwave, "Judy! We got to go," I said out of breath.

"Wait why? Aren't we going to have movie night and who was at the door," she asked confused.

"Judy we have to go, there are wolves here, and they're here to kill us," I said grabbing Judy's phone and calling 911.

"Nick what are you doing," she said panic in her voice.

I cursed under my breath before putting the phone back, "I was going to call the police but the line is dead."

"How many of them were there," Judy asked pulling a small pistol out of a safe hidden in a cupboard.

"Five at least, and do you have another for me."

"Yeah here you go," she said tossing me a pistol.

I peeked out of the kitchen to see the front door get kicked in and five wolves run inside and David walk in behind them. "Judy, it's David he is here too," I whispered to Judy.

"What how does he know where I live?"

"I don't know but we need to get out of here. Is there another way out?"

"There is only one way out, and you're not gonna like it," she said looking down.

"Judy? Where is this other way out," I asked?

"There," she said pointing to a glass window.

"Your kidding right? We are like five stories up. We will die if we drop from this height."

"Trust me, we'll be fine," She said aiming her gun at the window and shooting it.

The glass shattered into tiny pieces and Judy grabbed my paw, dragging me forward towards to window. "Judy, I'm not gonna jump we could die," I said wrestling my paw free from her's.

"Nick please trust me, if we don't jump David will kill us," she said trying to grab my paw.

"Judy we can-"

"Why hello there, Nick and Judy. Nice to see you two on this lovely night," David said walking into the kitchen trailed by five wolves.

"Go to hell David!" I said.

"I've already been, it's a nice place."

"Why are you here," Judy asked trembling a little.

"I am here to send you both there," he said aiming his gun at me and Judy.   

"Nice meeting you," David said before pulling the trigger, send a bullet at us. It struck me right in the stomach, which made me fall back into Judy sending both of us falling out of the window.
