Zootopia~Our Last Case

Chapter 17

POV~Nick

I slowly open my eyes and see that the jeep was completely upside down. I looked out the shattered window and saw a 50ft drop. I unbuckle and fall hitting my head on the ceiling, the car rocks forward slightly.

I look over at the passenger seat to see Judy was not there. I look in the back and see that both Jack and Jason weren't there either. I try to block out the horrible thoughts that enter my head, by focusing on getting out.

I find a window that was shattered from the impact and climb through it. The second I got my last paw out the jeep shifted and nose dived off the cliff. I hear a loud crash as the jeep hits the ground below.

I stand up and dust off myself off before taking in my surroundings. I am standing on the edge of a forest. "We've must've fallen pretty far," I say to myself. I see a straight line of fallen trees, probably where the jeep crashed from. I start climbing up the line of fallen trees, hoping to find someone.

I climb all the way back up to the road to see Mr. Big's Masion incinerated. The only thing left was charred ground. I suddenly hear a loud beeping noise from my pocket. I pull out the beeping device to see that it's my gas detector, it's going crazy.

I start coughing uncontrollably. I look up and see a green gas slowly falling down to the ground. I pull out my gas mask, that I had on my belt, and strapped it onto my muzzle.

I took in a deep breath before standing up and looking around for any sign of life. I find another line of fallen trees and slowly climb down the slope. I see Winter's Jeep overturned a few feet away.

I carefully walk towards it, my pistol in hand. I climb onto the jeep and open the door and poke my head in. I look around but I find no one in the jeep. I pull my head out of the jeep and climb down from the jeep.

I begin to walk back to the road when I hear the sound of a helicopter. I ran to a nearby tree and hid behind. I look up and see the helicopter hovering above the road.

Black ropes are thrown from the helicopter and a squad of troops, dress in black and wearing gas masks, slides down to the ground.

I sneak a little bit closer to them to see and symbol on the side of their uniforms. It looks like the Yin and Yang symbol but instead, there are two circles at the top of each side and a straight line at the bottom of each side.

There is also letters above the symbol. It read, Two Sides. I've never heard of that I wonder what it is, I say to myself.

I point my ears towards the men to hear what they are saying.

"Sir, we've found target a and b. No signs of the VPs."

"Understood sergeant. Men search the area we can not let anyone else find the VPs before us."

"Yes, Sir."

The squad split up into teams of two before searching the surrounding area. I, confused on who these guys are, slowly move from tree to tree trying to stay away from the soldiers.

I turn back to check behind me when I suddenly run into a very big tiger. "Sir, I've one of the VPs he is unharmed," he says into his radio before offering me his hand. "Agent Sanders, nice to finally meet you," he says looking at me.

I take his hand cautiously, "Who are you guys and what do you want with me."

"We are here to help clear your name. Do you know where your other commands are?"

"Ah, no. I've was trying to find them when I say your helicopter. And what do you mean clear my name? I thought everybody was out to get me?"

"That's where your wrong, we are part of a secret government organization that has tabs on every important person in the Zootopia area. We are here to help you stop the corruption that is happening in Zootopia," Sanders says leading me back to the helicopter.

"So you guys know what's really happening," I ask shock to believe there are still people out there on my side.

"Yep, we were following you from the start, so when the missile came down we had a strike team ready to rescue you."

The helicopter slowly descends to the ground and the sides of the helicopter open up, "get in, we'll find the rest of your commardes don't worry," Sanders says helping me into the helicopter.

"Wait I can help find them. I know how they think and they will come to me. They won't trust some unfiormed men walking around with guns," I say trying to confice Sanders to let me come with him.

Sanders sigh,"Sir, Wilde is requesting that he joins in the serch, ok affirmative. Ok Wilde, lets go find your friends."

"Thank you, lets first start off at the first jeep," I say climbing out the helicopter and heading toward where my jeep was.

Hey guys! Sorry for the long wait. I was gone all last weekend and I've beem dealing with a lot of personal stuff that's been dragging me down. But on a happier note I felt well enough to write another chapter! Hope you guys like it and I wil post a pic of the symbol either tomorrow or in my next chapter!
