Zootopia~Our Last Case

Chapter 15

POV~Nick

"Judy pass me the radio," I say to Judy holding out my paw.

"Here you go, Nick. What are you going to do with it," she asks passing me the radio.

"I am going to make sure Harold and Steve are still alive. Can you check on Jack and make sure there isn't a bullet hole in him."

"Yeah sure," she says climbing into the back.

I turn on the radio and hold it up to my muzzle,"Harold, Steve? Do you guys copy?"

There is static for a moment before I hear Harold's angry voice,"Hey Nick, did you know the building we are on is in flames and was also a sniping point for the other guys?"

"Yes, we see the flames and what do you mean another sniping point?"

"Nick, its quite simple. The bad guys had snipers up here too. And they were not happy with us climbing up here," he says with the sound of gunfire in the background.

"Do you guys need help? Cause we can come up there  and help you guys," I say starting to get out the jeep.

"No Nick. You guys have a mission to complete. We are just expendables. Go clear your names and save Zootopia. Shit, they had to bring Gareth and Lance. Nick we are not going to make it out alive so forget us and make sure no ones else dies tonight," Harold says over the radio.

"No Harold, don't you give up on me! We will come a save-" a giant explosion erupted from the top of the building. I look and see a single helicopter fly away before the entire building collapses. 

I drop the radio and hang my head, "someone else I couldn't save," I say to myself. I jump into the driver's seat and follow the helicopter. 

After following the helicopter for an hour we end up at Mr. Big's Masion. We park just outside of the mansion and load up.

"So, Mr. Big is in with whoever is out to get us," Judy says shivering from the cold.

"I guess so, wonder where Fru Fru is. I know she would not approve of what her father is doing," I say throwing a jacket over Judy.

"How are we going to get in? There is probably tons of guards out there," Winters says loading his rifle.

"Actually, there aren't any guards," Livvy says poking her head over a wall.

"What do you mean there aren't any guards," I ask.

"I meant what I said," she says.

"Let me look," I say looking over the wall.

She was right, there aren't any guards. "Livvy is right, let's go," I say jumping over the wall.

Everybody follows me into the empty courtyard. Everything is quite, too quite. I step towards the door when a loud bang is heard from a garage. I turn to it to see it begin to slowly open. Standing in the garage is both Gareth and Lance.

"Looks like we have some unwanted guests," Gareth roared.

"Sso we do," Lance hissed.

"Nick Judy Jack go for the door, we'll handle these guys," Winters says pulling out his sword.

"Right, Judy come on let's go," I say pulling her inside.

"What about the others," she cries.

"They will be fine. Our mission is to the kill the person in charge," Jack says taking the lead.

We walk through the mansion till we come across a giant office. I slowly open the door and see Mr. Big sitting in his small chair on the desk.

I point my large gun at him and say,"Why are you helping them, your daughter would never allow this."

He stays silent. I get frustrated and move closer and see that he has blood all over his chest. I drop my gun and take a closer look. His neck was slashed and he bled out.

I sigh,"Looks like Mr. Big was betrayed. Who do you think did it?" I ask looking around the room.

"That would be me," says a voice behind us.

I turn and see the one mammal I wished to never see again, Bellwether.

"Surprise to see me," she says poiting a gun at us.
