POV~Nick
I walk through the town hall's door, searching the place for any mammals. Surprisingly there are none to be seen. I carefully walk through the town hall until I can find the elevator.
I turn a corner and see three sheep guarding the elevator. I quickly move back so they can't see me. My eyes find a small rock on the ground, I pick it up and throw it down the hall. When the sheep turn to look at it, I run up behind them and shoot all three of them.
Leaving the bodies, I enter the elevator and head down to the basement. When the elevator doors open I drop a little present behind, before exiting. A long white hallway lays in front of, white fluorescent lights light up the hall as I walk down the hall. Only a single door lays at the end. The door is made of solid steel, but it was left open a crack.
Breathing deeply I kick the door in, gun raised. Before me, sat four mammals, Mayor lionheart, Bellwether, the newscaster Martha, and Jim. I aimed my gun at them, "it's time to end this."
"I think so too, Nick. Why did you come alone? You know you should never storm a castle alone," Bellwether smiles.
"I agree, why storm in here without, it's quite suicidal," Lionheart laughs.
"Yes, quite suicidal," Martha and Jim snicker.
"I came alone so my friends don't die too," I say growing.
"Oh the fox is getting mad, we should stop," Bellwether laughs. The other three join in the laughing.
"Won't be easy to laugh when this whole place explodes," I yell.
"Explode? Nick, we are in a nuclear bomb shelter no explosion could penetrate these walls," Jim says.
"Yes, but not if the explosion comes from in here," I say eyeing all four of them.
"Nick, you would also die in the explosion, wait. That's why you came alone," Bellwether says with shock on her face.
"Like all you said, this is a suicidal mission," I say pulling out a detonator.
"You wouldn't dare," Lionheart bellows.
"Yes I would, so try and stop me," I say firing my gun at Lionheart. I hit him in the chest killing him, but the other three jump behind a table and flip it over to be used as cover.
I run behind the steel door and use that as cover, as Jim fires back at me. I check my gun to see that I have only a few more bullets left. I sigh before leaning into the room and firing off my final few bullets.
I jump back behind the door as Jim fire at me. I lean my head on the door when I hear my radio come to life.
I unclip it and put it to my muzzle, "hello?
"Nick! Where are you? What happened," I hear Judy's panicked voice.
"Judy, it's ok. I am fine, for the moment, but I am ending everything right now. Just please promise me one thing, live a good life. Forget about me and go live. You deserve to live a nice life with a handsome bunny, not a sly fox like me."
"No! Nick, I don't want some handsome bunny, I want my sly fox. Please don't do this, we can stop them together," Judy cries.
"I'm sorry Judy, but this is a one-way ticket and there is only room for one," I say wiping a tear from my eye.
"No, Nick! Please don't do this, I need you to be whole. Don't leave me," she pleads.
"Judy, I love you, and if you love me too you have to let me go. This is what I am supposed to do."
"Nick, please, no. Don't do this, I can't live without you."
"Goodbye Judy, I love you," I say dropping the radio to the ground.
"It's time to end this," I say to myself, pressing the button on the detonator. "Judy, I am sorry."
