Zootopia~Our Last Case

Chapter 16

POV~Nick

"Bellwether, why am I not surprised you are here," I say coldly looking at the sheep.

"Because, Nick, you always knew I was going to break out. I was working with some very powerful people," she grins moving her gun towards me.

"Why are you doing this Don? Why would you hurt so many mammals," Judy says.

"Because, Judy, it's fun causing mayhem and I am only doing my job."

"Which is what, destroying Zootopia," I say angrily at her.

"Actually, yes it is. Nice guess," Don says evilly.

"Enough talking! It's time to end this," Jack yells pulling his gun on Bellwether.

She smiles and says,"Ah Jack, I wouldn't do that if I was you. Wouldn't want Jason to get hurt or anything."

I look to Jack and see him slowly drop his gun in defeat. I turn back to Bellwether,"What are you going to do with us."

"Oh, that's the best part! I get to end both you and Judy the way you were supposed to go," she exclaims happily.

"And what way would that be," I ask looking from Judy to Don.

"Like this," she said before shooting at me.

I jump out of the way, dodging the blue bullet. "Judy, Jack move!" I yell before throwing over a table.

Judy and Jack both jump over the table and land next to me, I hear Don curse under her breath before she runs off.

I stand up, my gun ready, and look over the table. I see nothing so I signal Jack and Judy it's clear.

"We need to move, Don probably ran to where she is holding Jason. And knowing this place its probably in the meeting room. Which is down the hall," I say walking down the hall.

We come to a large door that is slightly opened. I open it a little bit more to see Don pacing around the room furiously. There is also tons of monitors all over the room. I look at the far side of the room and see a metal cage with a mammal inside of it.

"Hey Jack, I think I found Jason," I say pointing to the cage.

"I see it, go on 3?"

"Yes, 1...2...3...Go!," I yell kicking the door in and aiming my assault rifle at Don.

Judy and Jack flanked in behind me and covered my left and right side. "It's over Don, there's no place for you to run."

"Yes there is," she says as a dark red portal opens up in front of her. "I'll be seeing you guys later," she steps through the portal and disappears, the portal also disappears.

Jack runs to the cage and tries to unlock it. I walk up behind him and hand him a key I found on the table. 

Jack takes the key and unlocks the cage. He walks in and hugs the small hybrid mammal inside it.

"I am so sorry Jason, I never meant for this to happen to you," Jack cried into his son.

The Jason hugs his father and says,"It's not your fault, I still love you."

I smile at the two before running over to Judy,"Found anything that could clear our names?"

"Yes actually. A whole file full of orders to frame us and release Bellwether. So I think this will clear our names."

"Good, let's get the hell out of here and help the others with Gareth and Lance," I say downloading the files onto a flash drive and heading for the door.

"Jack, let's go," Judy yells to Jack.

Jack's head pops up and nods before picking up his son and carrying him out of the room behind up. 

We run back to the door we came in through and walked out slowly. We the others sitting on their jeep waiting for us.

"Hey! What happened to Gareth and Lance," I ask walking up to the jeep.

"Ah," Winters laughed,"the guys took off running after a weird lighting bolt hit the mansion. It was a dark red, weird color for lighting."

"Uh, that's weird. Anyways let's get out of here and clear our names," I say opening up my jeep's door. 

"Yeah it'll be good to not be on the run anymore," Judy says happily.

"Hey guys what's that," Livvy said pointing in the sky.

"That's a missile! Everybody get the jeeps! We need to go!" Jack yells putting Jason in the jeep before jumping in himself.

I jump into the driver's seat and start up the jeep. I wait until Judy in the passenger's seat before gunning it.

I maxed out the jeep's speed hoping to be able to outrun the missile's explosion. We got about 10 miles away when the missile hit. They shock wave sent our's and the other jeep flying off the road and into the dark snowy forest.

The last thing I saw before blacking out was Judy flying out of the front window.

Hey, guys! Sorry for the day late chapter. I was so busy with homework yesterday. So sorry about that but luckily I got a chapter done today!

I may be late to updating this weekend because I am going somewhere so there may or may not be a new chapter.
