Chapter 8

POV~Nick ~Four days later

"Good Wilde, even after getting shot in the stomach you are still in peak performance," Jack said to me as I finish my exercise.

"Thanks, Jack, you have to stay strong in my line of work," I responded wiping my forehead of sweat.

"So Nick I wanted to ask you something," Jack said shyly to me.

"What's up Jack."

"What is your opinion on interspecies relationships?" He asked looking way.

I rub my head taken off guard from his question, "Well Jack, uh, I guess I am fine with interspecies relationships. Why do you ask."

"No reason! I was just wondering," he said hurrying away.

What a weird bunny I thought. I don't need another crazy bunny, I thought to myself. 

I get up and head to Judy's room. I reach her room and knock before entering. "Judy? You home?"

I hear Judy's muffled voice come from her bathroom, "Yea, give me a second Nick."

I sit down on her bed till she came out wearing a white robe. I glance at her still dripping body trying not be a creep. "So Carrots, hows your training going," I said trying to snap out of my trance.

"It's going well, I've become a much better shot now because of Mr. Savage," she said walking over to her closet.

"Do you by chance like Jack?" I said teasing.

"NO! Of course not. I already like somebody else," she said blushing a little bit.

"Oh really, who is the other person you like," I ask a smirk playing across my face.

"Nobody! He's nobody, you wouldn't know him," she said panic in her voice.

"Judy, does the guy you like have emerald eyes and nice red fur," I said smiling.

"Yeah, his eyes are amazing, I mean NO! Shut up Nick! Just shut it," she stormed off back into her bathroom.

"Ah come on Judy, I was only playing. And if it makes you feel better I like this one small mammal with nice purple eyes and gray fur. She is quite small too."

"Nick?"

"Yeah Judy,"

"I, uh, want to get dinner tonight? She asked sheepishly.

"Judy, I would love to. I heard Zoey makes a really good vegetable mix. When do you want to go."

"Six, now please leave so I can get ready."

"Will do Carrots, will do," I said walking out of her room with a smile. I turned a corner and bumped into a dead man.

"Winters?"

"Oh hey Nick, how's it going."

"How's it going? Winters I thought you died! How did you not die you were stabbed by a poison sword."

"Well if you would've stayed a little longer you would have seen that the snake only stabbed me in the side. He missed all my vital organs. So I survived but the poison knocked me out. When I came to I was in one of the other rooms."

"Winters, I am glad your back. Uh Winters, do you have any dating advice," I ask nervously.

Winters stopped walking and looks at me, "You're taking that rabbit out on a date tonight aren't you."

"Yea, I mean, how did you know," I ask trying to hide a blush.

"Nick, it's quite obvious that you two have feelings for each other, even a sloth could see it."

"Ah, do you think anybody else noticed?" I ask quite panicked.

"Probably, Livvy for sure can see it. Everybody else may or may not I don't know. But back to your question just be yourself and show her a good time."

"Thanks, Winters and glad to see your still alive," I say starting to walk away.

"Glad to help and I am glad I am still alive too," he laughed walking away.

I am walking down the hall when I see Jack's door open a little bit, and like the sneaky fox I am, I peek my head in seeing a plushie of a fox on his bed and the bathroom door shut. I take a closer look at the plushie and see it has red fur, like mine, and emerald eyes, also like mine. That's  heard the toilet flush and the bathroom door opening slowly. I yank my head out of the doorway and run down the hall till I reach my room. I run in a shut the door. 

I walk over to my bed and lay down. I couldn't process what I just saw. Could I have been seeing things or did Jack actually have a fox plushie that looks like me! No, it must just me a coincidence. I try to push the thought out of my mind but I keep seeing the red fox plushie.

After trying to get the image out of my head it was about four, two hours before mine and Judy's date. I got up and picked the best clothes I could find. Since none of the clothes were mine, it was quite challenging finding ones that fit.

Once I got my clothes set out I set an alarm for 5:50 and collapse on my bed taking a nap before my big night. Nothing is going to ruin tonight, not even a stupid fox plushie.

Hey guys, sorry its been so long since I last updated. I've just been busy with school stuff since it's my schools' homecoming week, I've been busy dealing with that. But I have some down time so I present to you the next chapter!

I know it's not that exciting but we do get to see that Winters is still alive and Jack might have a crush on Nick? Who knows, oh wait I do...
