George and Liz had fallen asleep on the couch and they woke up in the morning to the sound of an old car on the road. Liz remembered she promised John she would check on him today. The two got ready and Liz made sure her necklace was perfect. George took her to visit and went to get them some breakfast while he waited. Liz went to John's room and came in.
Paul was there and had just given John a kiss on the cheek. "See you soon, Love." He said.
"Oh hi Liz." Paul said surprised to see Liz right there.
Liz looked at Paul and John.
"Are you two..." Liz asked.
"No, Love." John chuckled and so did Paul.
"Oh, it's a shame; you two would be cute together." Liz said half serious and half jokingly.
"Well I'm going to head out now." Paul said. "Bye John. Bye Liz." And gave Liz a kiss on the cheek.
John looked a bit jealous.
"Hey, John. How are ya?" Liz asked.
"Better. I think I'll be out tomorrow afternoon." He said cheerfully.
"Good to hear!" Liz said.
"So...did you read my letter?" John asked nervously.
Liz nodded her head.
"D-did you like it?" John asked.
"It was very sweet John, but..."
"Lizzy if it's because of what I did to you, I promise that'll never happen again!"
"No it's not cuz of that John. I-I'm with George." Liz said.
"Oh...well...are you at least happy with George?" John asked sadly.
"Yes. John I'm sorry, I just-"
"It's alright, Love."
Liz went over to John's side and gave him a kiss on the cheek. John blushed and looked into Liz's eyes that were inches away from his face. Before Liz could sit back down John had kissed her on the lips. Liz wanted to stop but something stopped her from trying. John put his hand gently on her cheek and continued kissing her. Neither of them heard the door opening.
"Lizzy I got us some breakfast and I got you some cereal too, John." George said. "Are you two he-"
George nearly dropped the tray full of food when he saw them kissing. But it wasn't George that started crying this time.
It was Liz.
"George. I-"
"Stop trying to make excuses Liz! You're driving me mad! I've given you so many chances and you just take them for granted!"
"George please; don't yell at Liz. It's all my fault." John said.
George didn't know what to do. He wanted to believe John but he couldn't.
"Lizzy... I'm done. I- I can't take it anymore." George said setting down the tray next to John. "I can't take it! You're clearly happier kissing John or Paul rather than me!" George stormed out of the room.
Liz began to cry and John motioned for her to lie down next to him so he could comfort her. She did.
"It'll be alright, Love." He said giving her a kiss on the forehead. "It'll be alright."
Meanwhile, George was walking down the sidewalk on his way home. He was crying and his head was down as he walked.
"Are you alright?" A girl with red hair asked him.
"Jane?" He asked.
"Mhm." She said.
"What do you want?" George asked annoyed at her because of how mean she was to Paul.
"I just wanted to know if you were alright." She smirked.
"I'm fine. You can leave now." George said.
"No you're not; you're crying, Love." She said getting closer to George.
She wiped his tears with her thumb and told him to come back to her place. George told her he had to go home so Jane asked if she could come with him. Something made George say yes and the two got in his car and went home.
"What happen George? Where's Liz?" She asked.
"With John." He muttered.
"Oh... I'm sorry George. I don't know why she would've left someone like you." She flirted, twirling her hair.
For some reason, George didn't seem to mind Jane. In fact, he was actually quite intrigued by her.
"You really mean that?"
Liz nodded and gave him a kiss on the cheek. "You're so handsome, I just don't get it."
They arrived at George's house and Jane followed him to the kitchen.
"Want something to eat?" He offered.
"No thanks, I just ate." She said.
"Alright. What do you want to do?" He asked not knowing what to do without Liz.
"Wanna show me your room?" She said biting her lip.
"Uh... Sure." He said leading her up the stairs.
He opened the door. "Nothing to great really." He said.
"Oh it's lovely." She said as she sat on the bed.
"Come 'ere, Love." She said.
George did as she said.
