The two couples had a great summer vacation together but that meant school was coming up again. And that meant Linda had to go back to New York.

"You don't think your parents would let you move here. I mean we kept you all summer and nothing's happened to you." Paul said.

"I wish they would but I doubt that'll happen. They really want me to make sure I do well as a photographer. I'll come back for winter break though!" Linda said.

"But that's nearly 4 months! I don't wanna be away from you that long!" Paul whimpered.

"I'll call everyday! I promise!" Linda said and kissed Paul.

Paul rolled over in bed. "But it's not the same."

"I know, but what else can I do?" Linda asked.

Linda turned Paul over again so she could see his face.

"Convince your parents that you can live here. I'll take care of you." Paul pleaded.

"I'll do my best but I really don't think I'll be able to."

"Oh Linda, I can't be away from you that long!" Paul said as he hugged Linda.

Linda hugged him back and gave him kisses on his neck and cheek.

"See, I don't wanna miss those kisses." Paul said disappointed.

"I'll tell you what, I'll call my parents next thing tomorrow but I can't guarantee anything." Linda tried to settle Paul.

"Call 'em now." Paul demanded.

"Alright." Linda said getting out of bed.

She grabbed the phone in their room and dialed her parents' number.

"Hello, Dad?" She asked. "I'm fine, but I need to ask you something."

"I...I need to know if I can stay here, in Liverpool."

"I can attend school here! I'll get a side job and help pay George for letting me stay here."

"Dad, please!" Linda begged.

Paul rushed over and snatched the phone.

"Mr. Eastman, if you're worried about Linda's safety I can assure you I'll be by your lovely daughter's side every day."

Paul sighed, "Yes sir, I-I understand."

Linda said 'goodbye' and hung up.

"Paul, I'm sorry." Linda apologized and hugged Paul.

"It's not your fault."

"But it'll only be two years until we're done with high school. Then I can come here and maybe we'll end up in the same college." Linda smiled.

"Two years?" Paul whined.

"It'll be over before you know it." Linda encouraged him.

Paul walked back to the bed and covered himself in the covers. Linda hurried to him and got under the covers with him.

"I love you, Paul."

"I love you too, Linda." Paul mumbled. "And I'm gonna miss your beautiful, blonde hair, your green eyes, and your perfect lips." Paul said as he gave Linda a slow kiss.

"I'm gonna miss you too, Paul. And everything about you." She said as she gave him another kiss.

The two fell asleep, concerned about their future together.

Linda had already packed her bags and had sent them back home. Her flight was tomorrow and she wanted to make sure she spent every last minute with Paul. They had a day under the pier and Paul had arranged for them to have a fancy dinner and Paul told her he had a surprise for her after. Linda loved her meal and couldn't wait for her surprise. Paul drove her to an open field and walked her over to a barn. He opened the door and Linda's jaw dropped, "Paul..."
