It was very early but someone knocked at the door. Paul woke up quickly and rushed down the stairs. He opened the door quickly.

"George!" He squealed.

"Hey Paul." George said happily.

George walked into his house that he hadn't been in for so long. He sighed.

"Where's Linda?" He asked.

"Still sleeping." Paul replied. "So is Julian."

"Oh, I'll wait to unpack then so I don't wake 'em up." George whispered.

"They'll be up soon." Paul assured him.

George nodded.

"Nice to be home." George said. "Of course...it doesn't really feel quite like home anymore."

Paul hugged George and whispered in his ear. "I'm so sorry, George."

Paul didn't loosen his grasp. He kissed George right next to his lips.

"Uh Paul..."

Paul blushed and showed a little smile.

"Sorry."

George nodded a bit confused and the two waited until Linda and Julian woke up.

"So you're done at the hospital for a few months?" Paul asked.

"Yep. Hopefully I'll be able to stay here for a while until I have to go back there." George explained.

Paul was a little nervous to ask this but he did anyways, "Uh, George...you don't have to answer this but...you seemed so relaxed and calm when Liz passed and I just wanted to know why."

George sat down on the couch.

"Well... I guess I'm just one of those people that it just doesn't effect for that long." George lied.

"Oh..." Paul said awkwardly.

Linda walked down the stairs with Julian in her arms. Linda smiled at George and greeted him.

"Nice to meet you formally." Linda said. "I'm Linda and this is Julian, John's son."

"Hey bud." George said to Julian.

Julian looked at George for a little while until he accepted the new person. Julian smiled and went to find a toy. Paul followed Julian up the stairs to make sure he didn't fall - leaving George and Linda by themselves.

"Nice to be out of the hospital, huh?" Linda asked, stepping closer to George.

"Uh yea." George replied.

Linda forgot about Paul for a moment and tried to flirt with George.

George looked at her confused and tried to avoid getting any closer to her until Paul returned.

When Paul came back down, he sat Julian next to Linda and decided what to do today.

"We're saving the pier for your birthday in a few days so anywhere else you wanna go?" Paul asked.

"Lake?" George suggested.

They both nodded. "Julian loves it there." Linda said.

The four got ready and went to the lake.

They were alone there and Paul, Linda and George talked while Julian played in the grass.

"So..." Paul tried to fill the silence.

George was a bit shy today but they couldn't blame him-just getting out of the hospital and losing Liz.

They spent most of the day at the lake and returned home for dinner. They had one of George's favorite meals. Once they finished, George said he was pretty tired so he was going to bed. They said goodnight and Julian fell asleep soon after. Paul went to take a shower and Linda went upstairs. She was getting ready to go to bed when she walked by George's room. She heard crying. She knocked on the door but he didn't answer. Quietly opening the door, Linda came in and closed the door behind her.
