Harry's POV

"Shut up, Gemma," I mumbled, a blush coating my cheeks as my sister continued to tease me about Niall. I instantly regretted going to her for advice.

"Wow, he really has you hooked. I've never seen you get this excited over someone in your whole life," she continued to laugh.

Why did everyone I talk to have to tease me about Niall? I only went to Gemma to talk to her about Ryan getting bailed out of jail. This had nothing to do with Niall and I having a relationship.

Although I hadn't intended to talk about it, I couldn't help but imagine what it would be like if Niall was mine. What it would feel like to be able to kiss Niall and hug him for as long as I wanted to without making it awkward.

"Niall is well-- okay, I really like him. I don't know how anyone wouldn't get excited over him," I said, not even paying that much attention to Gemma anymore, the topic of Niall almost instantly distracting me.

"I haven't ever seen you this flustered. Hell, I never even had the slightest suspicion that you were gay," she said.

"I'm not gay. I mean, Niall's different. I've never felt like this before. Of course I've been attracted to girls but no one has ever made me feel like this," I said, my cheeks burning at the look Gemma was giving me.

"Well...it doesn't matter what you are. Labels don't define your feelings. The fact that you're into Niall should be enough for you to do something. From the sounds of it, it seems like he's waiting for you to make a move," she murmured, giving me an assuring smile.

I couldn't just do that. I wasn't about to risk everything I had with Niall for the sake of wanting to take it further. Maybe I would if there was a chance he liked me back but I refused to risk the friendship I had with him.

"We'll see. Night, Gem," I said softly and left her room.

I awoke to my phone's ringing on my nightstand. I blindly reached for it, still confused as to why it was going off. It wasn't as if I had set any alarms to go off at this time. I picked it up, the vibrating stopping pretty much as soon as I did. A missed call from Niall.

My screen was basically blinding me, it being pitch black and my phone was on full brightness. I looked at my screen, the lock screen being a picture of Niall that I had taken when he wasn't paying attention. Call me creepy but he looked so incredibly adorable at that moment. I refused to let him see it though. I was scared he would be freaked out.

I couldn't deny the flash of concern when I saw his contact name flash on my screen.

I was about to call him back, when it began to vibrate again, showing me he had done it first. I had no idea why he was calling me but I answered immediately, not caring for the reason. If I knew Niall well enough, I knew he wouldn't call anyone this late unless it was something important.

"Niall?" I asked. I could hear him struggling to breath on the other end, something was very wrong. "Niall, love, please answer me. What's wrong?" I panicked, sitting up straight, the phone pressed tightly to my ear.

"Harry, I-I need you," he sobbed. I didn't know where he was but I could hear rustling trees in the background, so I knew he wasn't at his house.

"Baby, where are you?" I asked quietly, trying to remain calm for his sake.

"I-In the park near the school," he answered shakily. I wanted to question why he was out there so late at night but judging by the state he was in, I didn't think it was such a good idea. At least until I was with him and was sure he was okay.
