Niall's POV
I pushed the girl away from me, not particularly caring if she fell off her chair or not. I was more concerned with the voice I heard behind me.
"Harry, she kissed me. I-I would never, you know I would never--" I said, trying to make eye contact with the green eyes which were now intensely focused on the ground.
"Save it, Niall. I know that I wasn't the nicest person to you from the start but that doesn't mean that you can turn around and do something like this," he snapped. He looked up, his eyes finally meeting mine, though not in the way I wanted them to. His eyes were angry and incredibly cold.
"I-I mean it, Harry. I don't care a-about what happened in the past. Even if I did, I-I wouldn't cheat on you," I let out desperately.
"I thought you actually cared about me but I was clearly mistaken," he hissed.
"If that's what y-you think, then f-fine," I replied, my tone matching Harry's hostile one. I wasn't going to beg for him if he was just going to act irrational. He didn't even seem like he regretted what he had just said.
"Fine then. Fuck you, Niall," he snapped and walked off.
I heard a laugh behind me and I turned to see that Ella was still there, listening to our whole fight.
"What would you e-even get out of this?" I asked her, narrowing my eyes.
She seemed to get even more amused at my words, her brown eyes lighting up.
"I won't get anything out of it but you're getting what you deserve. Your sort of people shouldn't associate with the normal sort of people. Maybe next time you won't try stealing Harry," she smirked and walked off like nothing had happened.
I rushed towards the exit, my eyes filling with tears that I didn't know if they were from sadness or anger. In my desperation to get away from the scene, I bumped into someone's shoulder. I expected them to yell at me for hitting them but I felt them gently grab my arms instead.
"Shh, Niall. Calm down," I heard the voice and knew straight away that it was Liam.
I let out a shaky breath, closing my eyes to push back the tears and I still didn't know if I was more angry or upset by what had just happened.
"Niall, what happened?" he questioned.
"Harry saw someone force themselves on me. He thought I cheated on him," I spilled out.
"Are you okay?" he frowned.
"I'm fine. If h-he's going to act like this, he isn't worth my time," I rolled my eyes.
"It will be okay, Niall. I get that he's being an asshole but I think you both just need to calm down and discuss this properly," he assured me.
"Yeah," I murmured, not really knowing what else I could possibly say.
He didn't say anything else. I expected it was because he didn't know what to say. He simply held onto me tightly and allowed me to calm down.
Harry's POV
I tore my eyes away from Niall, storming out of the library, well aware of the massive scene that Niall and I had caused. People must have noticed I was pissed, considering no one had even tried to smile at me as I walked past.
Once I had gotten far enough away from the library, I buried my face in my hands, crying like no one was watching me, even though most people in the area had turned to look at me.
