Harry's POV

We all stared at my phone in shock, none of us uttering a sound. Even though the other three had received similar texts already, none of us could find the right words to say.

For one thing, how the hell did this person know that I had gotten involved? I had only decided to head to Liam's house several minutes prior to leaving. I had the suspicion that they had been following me, which scared me to no end.

Were they watching us right now?

There was something else that was bothering me, concerning the choice of meeting place. Louis, Liam and Zayn wouldn't know this but I knew that the place that was requested was the same place Niall had gotten attacked that little while ago.

"This is getting even weirder," Louis commented, his gaze still on my phone. "How did they know you were involved?" he added, receiving a shrug from me.

"How are we supposed to know what park it is?" Liam frowned.

"I know. Hard to explain how I know right now but I know," I replied.

The others seemed confused, their expressions seeming to be asking me a million silent questions but no one said anything.

"Are we going to go?" Zayn asked.

Without a doubt, I wanted to. I didn't even care about the possible dangers that could happen if we were to go. The thought of Niall being in danger was enough to make me risk anything. Especially since this was practically all my fault.

I found myself turning to Liam for an answer, very much expecting him of all people to say no. Of course, I knew that he wanted Niall safe as much as I did but I knew that he was the most reasonable, therefore the one who needed the most convincing.

"Well, I don't really see any other option. This may be our last chance," Liam said after a long pause, his voice coming out in an almost defeated sigh.

"I think it's a bad idea. What if it's his kidnapper?" Louis spoke up, his voice coming out incredibly soft and rather hesitant as he looked at me apologetically.

Since Louis and I had been friends for years and he had said and done some annoying and stupid things for as long as I could remember, I don't think I had ever wanted to punch him so much until then.

I was about to react when Zayn spoke up.

"Well, do we have any other option? This person seems desperate for us to listen to them. Besides, it will be us four. If it was one of us going alone, then I understand why you would say no. We all would....or-- most of us would," he paused and glanced at me. "We all know that Harry's going to go regardless."

I knew better than to contradict him. It was true. Niall was in danger and so all of my common sense had vanished. If putting myself in danger meant that I was doing something to find Niall, then I would do it without hesitation. I guess it was a good thing that the others seemed to realise this.

~

After what felt like a lifetime, we arrived at the park and stepped out of my car. The cold air hit us as soon as we stepped out but we were able to ignore it and focus on the task at hand.

"Where do we go from here?" Zayn asked.

Thinking back to the last time I was here, I tried to remember the direction we had to go in. Vague flashes of the dark pathway and the cracking of twigs flooded my brain and I stepped forward to what I believed to be the right direction.

"This way," I whispered and started to walk to the location I found Niall that night.

The boys seemed rather confused, not knowing how I knew this but they followed me regardless. They really didn't have any other option. Using the light from our phones, we set off. It was silent, aside from our breathing and the occasional snap of a twig underneath our feet.
