Niall's POV
"So your birthday's coming up. Are you going to do anything with Harry?" Liam asked.
My birthday was in around a week or so, that meant I would be eighteen. Though with everything that had been happening, it almost didn't seem that important to me, regardless of it being a significant milestone.
I shrugged as Liam sat down next to me on Louis' couch. The fact that Liam, Louis and Zayn were suddenly close friends didn't even seem all that strange anymore. If they weren't so different prior to Harry and I dating, I assumed that they would have been close friends from the start.
Harry would have been there as well but Gemma had needed help with something she had stressed as being rather important. I assumed that she just wanted to spend time with her brother.
"Haven't planned a-anything but we'll see," I shrugged carelessly, earning frowns from the three boys.
"C'mon, Ni. You're turning eighteen. You should go out and have fun," Louis said from where he was sitting.
"Lou, do you really think it's a good i-idea for me to go and get wasted?" I questioned him with a raised eyebrow, earning a shrug from Louis.
"Well, whatever you're comfortable with. Get laid at the very least," he replied, smirking at the shocked look on my face.
"Louis!" Liam snapped, while Zayn looked between the three of us, an amused expression on his face.
I couldn't help the blush that suddenly appeared on my face. The comment Louis had just made had admittedly caught me off guard.
"What?" Louis frowned at Liam, before turning back to me. "You guys have done it before, right?" he asked.
Liam looked like he wanted to yell at Louis again but I could tell that he knew that Louis was not going to listen to him. In fact, we all knew Louis well enough to know that telling him off would only encourage him further.
"W-well...no," I mumbled, feeling almost embarrassed by the way they were all looking at me.
"That's...actually really cute," Zayn told me, making me feel even worse. I assumed that when he said 'cute' he really meant 'strange.'
"I don't mean that in a bad way. It's good. It shows that what you both have is serious," he was quick to add on, seemingly having read my thoughts
"Do you plan on doing it soon?" Louis cut in, clearly not done with trying to embarrass me.
"I don't know," I shrugged.
"Do you want to?"
"Okay, I think we should all shut up before we permanently embarrass Niall. Zayn, we should leave," Liam stood up and grabbed Zayn, pulling him off the couch.
Zayn looked a little reluctant to leave, seemingly just as interested in the conversation as Louis was, but followed after Liam without protest.
"I think you should. Go out with Harry, I mean. I understand that you may not want to go and put yourself at risk but if anyone deserves a good time, it's you," Louis told me.
"O-oh. Thanks, Louis," I responded, smiling softly at him.
Louis and I didn't really talk much after that, we stayed relatively silent and waited for Harry to come. Harry had asked me to wait with Louis until he had finished so he could come take me home. Of course, I agreed because I could never spend enough time with him.
