Harry's POV
The assembly had finally finished and we were told to go back to our classes. Upon arriving at my next lesson, I noticed that Niall wasn't there. After he had left the assembly, I had assumed that he wasn't going to come to class but that didn't stop me from wishing to see him again.
I hadn't seen him since he had left. I didn't think anyone had, which led me to believe that he had gone home. Though I still wandered around and asked anyone that I could find if they had seen him. No one questioned me about it, most likely believing that I wanted to find him in order to harass him or something.
They had no idea that their assumptions couldn't be further from the truth.
I assumed that since Liam had been the one to rush after him, that he was the last person to see him. I could only hope that Niall's safe with him.
"Harry? Fucking hell, can you please stop daydreaming for one second?"
I was so caught up with thinking about Niall, that I was paying no attention to the outside world, including Tyler, who was sitting right next to me.
"Harry!" he hissed close to my ear, temporarily knocking the thoughts of Niall out of my head. He didn't look happy that I hadn't paid attention to him, his eyes were narrowed and filled with annoyance.
"Yeah?" I asked, looking at him for a second, before returning my gaze to the carpeted floor of the classroom.
"I asked if you saw that blond faggot leave the assembly crying," he repeated before letting out a cruel laugh. "He's so pathetic," he continued.
"Yeah, I did. And I would appreciate if you didn't call someone pathetic for something they can't control," I found myself saying before I could really stop myself.
Tyler frowned, I wasn't sure if it was anger or confusion but I didn't particularly care.
"What's up with you? Why the fuck are you being nice to him? You hate him."
"I don't hate him. Maybe there's a reason he's acting the way he is and you making fun of him isn't going to help," I continued.
Tyler, seemingly in total shock, rolled his eyes but didn't answer. He seemed rather shocked at my change in heart but considering the fact that I hadn't gone out of my way to hurt Niall since the lockdown, he wasn't as surprised as I had thought.

The final bell rang, signalling that school was over for the day. People had begun to pack up their books and lazily throw them into their bags before heading out of the classroom.
I heard the sounds of everyone going to their lockers before they all got to go home, yet sadly, I couldn't. I wished I could, I wanted to do the same as them, go home and be a lazy teenager but instead, I was forced to go to football training, along with the others on the team.
As soon as I had put away all of my school things, I slowly walked from my locker, down the halls and over to where the large football oval was located.
When I had finally crossed the oval, I went into the locker room, seeing the rest of the team were in the midst of getting changed.
It wasn't long before the coach made his way over to us, evident that he had been waiting for the chance to start playing football again, which couldn't be further from me. Of course, I loved being on the team but there was something about that particular day that just made me wish I was anywhere else.
We were instructed to get into pairs and kick a ball to each other. Zayn had partnered with Tyler and immediately started to kick the ball to each other. Which was weird because Zayn usually went straight to partner with Louis.
