Chapter 17

The Next Day, Lucy's Pov, 

I woke up to see Natsu wasn't in bed with me. I got up and changed into my blue top with my dark skirt with brown belt with brown boots. I soon headed downstairs to see Natsu opening the front door. "Hey Lucy, I got the day planned out, let's go eat" Natsu offered his hand smiling at me. I couldn't help but smile as I walked over taking his hand. Soon he ran out the building dragging me along as I kept up with his pace. We headed down the street as Natsu looked at me giving me his toothy grin. I couldn't help but smile at him.

We soon headed into the cafe Mira worked as Natsu and I headed up to the bar. "Lucy, Natsu" Mira was at the bar cleaning a glass smiling at the two of us. "Hey Mira" I waved with my free hand as Natsu still had my other one. "What can I get you both?" Mira soon asked putting the now clean glass down. "Two of you big fry ups Mira, make sure mine has spicy bacon" Natsu answered as Mira nodded, grabbing a pen and note pad, writing it all down. Natsu soon gave me his signature smirk. He was planning something.

I knew that smirk anywhere. "Natsu?" I asked as he then looked at Mira again. "Also a coke for me and strawberry milkshake for Lucy" Natsu then added to the order before dragging me to a table. We soon sat down as I raised an eyebrow at Natsu. "What are you planning?" I asked as he just chuckled. "Wait and find out Lucee" Natsu replied as I had a feeling it was going to be good or bad. Soon Mira was walking over with a strawberry milkshake and coke. She placed them down and looked at me.

'Have fun today' she mouthed to me, making me even more confused. What was they planning? I soon started thinking as I had some of my milkshake. "So after this wanna meet Levy and Gajeel?" Natsu asked as his phone went off. "I don't mind" I answered with a smile as Natsu smiled back before checking his phone. I saw he had a tiny upset face as he put his phone back in his pocket. "Everything ok?" I asked as he looked at me and nodded. I could tell he was lying but didn't want me involved. 

Sadly he had a huge reason not to even let me. Soon I saw Lisanna glaring at me on the other side of the cafe from the corner of my eye. She really had a thing for Natsu. "Hey Natsu" I called as he put his drink down. "Mhmm?" he raised and eyebrow at me. "I-I was wondering if we could head to your mothers green house again" I rubbed the back of my neck as Natsu smiled at me. "Sure Lucy, it could be our place" Natsu replied getting me to smile brightly. I knew it hurt him a little bringing up his mother.

It was the same with me. Talking about it after awhile did help. Soon Mira walked over carrying two big plates filled with food. One having special looking bacon. Mira placed the one with different bacon in front of Natsu and the other plate in front of me. "Lucy ever thought about joining college?" Mira soon asked making me think. "I-I think I would get too shy" I answered rubbing the back of my neck. Mira sat down on a chair next to me. "We can help with that Lucy, Natsu thinks you would do amazing in the writing classes with Levy" Mira then shocked me.

I looked at Natsu who rubbed the back of his neck and started eating fast. I sighed. "I dunno Mira" I mumbled as Mira grabbed my hand. "Think about it, Im dating the heads grandson, I can pull some strings for you" Mira winked at me before letting go of my hand and getting up. She soon headed to another table to take an order as I shook my head a little. I soon started to eat my food as Natsu finished pretty fast like normal. I finished a little later as Mira walked over. "That all for today?" Mira asked as Natsu nodded.

Mira soon gave Natsu the bill who paid well paid after I tried to. We soon left waving to Mira before Natsu grabbed my hand. I smiled at him. "Come on you would be great in college, then we can see each other more" Natsu then kissed my forehead as we started walking. I looked to the ground. "But if my illness acts up when Im alone" I whispered a little scared as Natsu let go of my hand and placed his arm around me. "You will never be alone, the others and I will always be there" Natsu had his childish toothy grin. 

I couldn't help but smile at it. After a long walk we soon reached the green house as Natsu got the key out. I looked around the wind blowing my hair. After a small while staring around I turned to see Natsu staring at me with a smile. "W-what?" I asked my cheeks burning up a little as Natsu walked closer to me. He then pulled me as close as he could be, keeping me in place by having his right arm around my waist. "Just how beautiful you are" Natsu answered my cheeks burning up even more. 

He just loved being cheesy....
