Chapter 24

Natsu's Pov, 

The next day James was doing a small test all the morning and forced me to leave to college. He said I had to think about my future but I couldn't see one without Lucy. Without my Lucy. The whole morning my mind was on Lucy. I didn't think of anything else of pay attention in class. The group noticed this. It was our last brake before I could leave early to see Lucy. "Natsu you ok?" Erza soon asked as they whole group looked worried for me. I just looked away. "Fine" I lied getting up leaving them.

I couldn't tell them the truth. I just couldn't. I was to worried that I would lose Lucy for good. I went to Master Makarov's office to ask if I could leave earlier to get something that could help Lucy from my house. I was lucky that he agreed. I was walking out the college fast as I could to get to my car. I started it up and headed to my house first. Like normal it wasn't a long drive as I hurried inside and headed to my room. Once I got inside I went next to my bed, bending down and reaching under to grab a box.

I pulled out it to show some photo books and items that meant many things between me and Lucy and how we grew up. I grabbed the red photo book before putting the box back and headed out my mansion heading to my car. Once in the car I headed straight to the hospital. I checked the time to see it was 1pm. James had to of finished his tests already. Soon as I got outside I saw many press outside. The Heartfilla family was pretty famous along with mine. I got out my car to have lodes of pictures being taken of me.

I sighed holding back. I wanted to punch and brake everyone of them cameras. "Natsu Dragneel, it is true that you are to marry Miss Heartfilla?" many of the press asked as I didn't answered but just pushed through heading straight inside to see guards keeping the press outside. I headed to Lucy's room to see James coming out of there. "She remembers her mothers death" James informed me as I froze. "It was why she started crying last night" he then added as I nodded.

T-this was hurting her. I hated the idea of Lucy in pain. James then left as I went into the room to see Lucy staring outside her hospital window. "Hey Lucee" I was holding the photo book a bit tighter as Lucy turned her head and looked at me. "S-sorry for worrying you last night" Lucy whispered looking away from me as I walked over to her, sitting next to her on the bed. "Don't be sorry, it's my job to worry" I replied as she nodded. I soon passed her the book. "I thought you would like to see this" I made Lucy look confused.

She opened up the book to show many pictures of when we was younger. Lucy couldn't help but smile as she started looking through it. She was shocked at first but soon smiled looking at the collages that we made only just last year. "We made all these a year ago" I informed her as Lucy looked through as we had different types of pictures from our past years. From when we was toddlers up until last year on Lucy's birthday when I surprised her in making this. "I got more at home if you want me to bring them in" I offered.

"I would love that" Lucy replied as she was still smiling at the pictures. I could tell by her face she was trying her hardest to remember. She was slowly getting there it seemed. She remembered her mothers death and all. Soon my phone started going off to see Gray calling me. I sighed answering. "What you want Elsa?" I asked as Lucy giggled at the nick-name. "Problem Sting and that heard about Lucy, it's all over the news man" Gray replied as I ran my fingers through my hair. Sting and that would be here.

Another lucky reason I'm Lucy's career. "Keep them busy and get Erza and Mira here fast along with Laxus, he can be scary at times if Mira is threatened" I then ordered before ending the call. Lucy looked at me confused, her eyebrow raised. "A lot of people want to see you who ain't really aloud" I then explained as Lucy nodded. "James said you was also my career?" Lucy asked as I nodded. "I am, we both agreed to it awhile ago" I then answered as Lucy nodded. She was trying to get all the information about her past.

I knew her. She would gather all the information she could to try and remember. "James also said I could leave soon" Lucy then smiled as I couldn't help but smile also. "Great, I can take you to our spot" I made Lucy a little shocked. "We have a spot?" she asked confused as I nodded. Soon my phone started ringing again as I was shocked to see Mavis's number. I answered it. "SCREW WHAT JUDE SAYS IM SEEING MY GOD DAMN COUSIN" I heard Mavis scream on the other end making me deaf.

Lucy could even hear her as she stared confused. "Mavis I don't want to be deaf" I growled as I then heard her giggle. "How is she Natsu? Please say she is safe? Im on my way to magnolia I can't stand not seeing her, Jude may of stopped me all these years but I finally found a loophole" Mavis soon asked and informed me as I rubbed the back of my neck. "Wanna speak to your cousin Mavis?" I asked Lucy as she rubbed the back of her neck. "I have a cousin?" Lucy asked as I nodded.

"S-so it's true she lost her memories" I heard Mavis whisper worried as Lucy looked at the ground. "Get here soon as you can help with getting memories back, Magnolia Hospital Room 55A" I told Mavis before ending the call. "Your cousin and you were very close but then your father made her no longer see you as well you got ill and he was worried she could set it off" I then explained as Lucy nodded looking at the picture book again. Mavis and Lucy finally speaking again. Lucy always wanted that.
