Part 6: Thoughts

//Mikey's POV\\

"Don't say anything. I know I shouldn't do this but I can't help it." I say and then I move closer to Kayla and then I kiss her. I don't know about her but I feel real sparks with her and I've never felt this way about any girl before.

//Kayla's POV\\

I'm filled with butterflies in my stomach. I pull back.
"Mikey. We can't." I say.
"Why not Kayla?" He says while gently placing his hands on my shoulders.
"You just broke up with your girlfriend. And I also just became friends with her today." I say.
"Listen I know it's soon weird. But I really like you Kayla." He says.
"I like you too Mikey." I say.
"Then why let other people have opinions. It's you and me, not them." He says.
He has a point. I guess I just need to make some new friends then. Or maybe not say anything.. But I don't know..
"Let's take it slow, Mikey. We just literally met yesterday." I say.
"I know and that's all I want." He says.
"I'll walk you back." He adds.
"Okay." I say.
The walk back is pretty silent. And then we reach my front door.
"My mom is staying home tomorrow for her work so she is letting me use her car tomorrow.. So do you want me to pick you up in the morning?" He quietly says.
"Yes please." I say.
"Okay I'll be here at 6:30 then." He says.
"Well I guess I'll see you tomorrow again." I say. I hug him goodbye.
I go inside and my dad greets me.
"Hey Kayla. How was your first day of school?"
"It was pretty good." I mutter back.
"I'm gonna go head back up to my room." I add.
"Okay sweetheart." He says as I walk upstairs. I walk into my room and go into the bathroom and put on a pair of black leggings with one of my brothers old hoodie. I brush my teeth and then go to my bed and just snuggle up in my blankets and then right I turn on my phone. I see this recommended app called YouNow. I click download.
I open the app and I see this guy in #1 looks exactly like Mikey.
I click on it and realize it is Mikey. I start to realize this a live streaming app.
"I really like this girl and I don't know what to do because she likes me back but she is friends with my ex-girlfriend and she doesn't wanna ruin that."
I read all the comments.
"date me"
"she is missing out"
I close the app and turn off my phone.
I shut my eyes and fall asleep...
