Part 7: Maybe?

//Kayla's POV\\
I wake up to my alarm. I look at my phone to see it is 6:15 which means I slept through my alarm at 6 and Mikey is picking me up in 15 minutes. Oh my god, I'm not gonna get ready in time.. Eep.
I jump out of my bed and run to my closet and grab a pair of black mini skater skirt and comfy cropped sweater and then I pick up my white converse sneakers.
I quickly put it all on and brush my teeth  and hair and put on light makeup. And then I grab $5 and yell at my dad "Bye dad, going to school!"
Right as I get outside I check my phone to see it is 6:29. Damn that was good timing. Right as I turn off my phone, I see Mikey pull out off his garage and then he rolls down his window.
"Hey cute stuff.. want a ride?" he yells out
"yes please sir! but I shouldn't take rides from strangers" I playfully say back.
"we won't be strangers after this car ride" he says while winking at me
"chill dude" I say
"fineeee" he says stretching out the e in fine.
I walk up to his car and sit down in the passenger seat.
"So how are you doing?" He says as he starts to pull out of his driveway.
"I'm doing pretty good. How are you?" I say awkwardly back.
"I'm good now that I'm with you."
"Your too cute." I say.
"I try." He says and looks over at me and smiles.
The rest of the ride is filled with smiles and laughter. And then we finally get there.. I see Angelina and her friends standing outside near the front of the school.
I look over at Mikey and honestly looks really worried.I put my hand on his shoulder and rub his shoulder.
"Mikey, are you okay?" I say concerned.
And he snaps out of staring out her.
"Yeah I'm alright."
"Mikey, you can tell me."
"It's really nothing, Kayla." He says and he opens up his door and I open my door. Once I close my door and I see Mikey has already disappeared. I walk over to Angelina and her friends.
"Hey guys." I say and smile.
"Hey Kayla. You got a ride from Mikey?" Angelina says.
"Yeah, why?" I say back pretending like I don't know anything..
"Well me and mikey broke up last night."
"I'm sorry.." I say.
"You should be." She says with an attitude. I'm really confused but not really shocked. I don't really understand though.
"excuse me?" I say back.
"Why would u go over to my boyfriends house? With no else there? I hope you made other friends."
"Mikey-" I say while getting interrupted by Angelina and all her friends beginning to giggle.
"Oh my gosh, Kayla. Your too serious.. I am just kidding. Mikey can hang around with anyone and now since we are not together he can be with who ever he wants." She says. Now I'm shook.
"Sorry. I'm a bit edgy with some stuff going on at home." I say lying because I don't know what to say.
Then the bell saves me and rings letting us know to go to 1st period.
"Well I'll see you in first period Kayla, gotta go see some people." Angelina says while winking at me. I'm even more shook.
"Okay see you there." I say and I start to go walk away to try and find Mikey.
As I'm walking to 1st period I see Mikey talking to two other dudes. I walk up to them.
"hi" I say to mikey.
"hey there. sorry I just vanished earlier needed to dodge some people today.." he says.
"It's okay." I say not really meaning it.
"Well while your here meet Bryce.." he says. [Yes I know that Bryce doesn't live in Rhode Island and goes to school with Mikey. just pretend (: ]
I look at the cute boy with soft looking brown hair with blonde highlights on the front tips.
" hi my name is Kayla." I say.
"hi" he says and smiles at me.
"Wanna walk with me to class, Kayla?" Mikey says.
"Yes." I say and I go walk over to him. And Bryce goes the other direction. He tries to hold my hand but I quickly pull away.
"What?" He says questioning me.
"Mikey.. I can't. Forget about Angelina for a second. Do you like me, Kayla?"  He says.
"Of course I do, Mikey. Your one of the sweetest guys I've ever met and I've only known you for two days." I say back.
"So what's wrong with us getting to know each other Kayla?"  I look at him and he smiles and I smile back. I grab his hand and hold his hand until we get to our class. And then I see Angelina sitting in her seat. I let go off Mikey's hand and go off to my seat. Where soon after Mikey sits next to me.
Class ends by fast. I actually make a new friend in that class her name is Delaney. She has ombré brown/ yellow hair. Today is she wearing a floral dress. I walk to my next class and quickly Mikey follows behind me and turns me around and kisses me and I open my eyes to see Angelina standing right behind her.
