|Hailey's P.o.v.|

We've been on the road for a little over 30 minutes. It's been 30 minutes since we left the hospital and no one has said a word. We're all just piled up in this Fire Truck and honestly I don't know how we managed. I glance over at Randall whose head is rested on Rachaels shoulder. His eyes are shut but it just takes one glance at him to know he's in pain. I look at Carl whose beside me looking out of the window. I just sit there admiring him and just how lucky I am to have found him, especially now. I place my hand on his head and play with his hair. This causes him to turn to look at me and smile.

"I'm glad you're feeling better." He says. I nod a bit and smile, "Me too." The truck came to a stop and we were eager to get out. We were at a gas station that had cars scattered all over.

"Keep your weapons up and stay on alert. Look around for anything useful, gas, food." Rick instructs. I look around as everyone scatters off. Maggie is still in the truck all alone. I know how she feels. I know all of it. "She will be okay." Glenn tells me. I guess he noticed me staring. I look back at him and give him a reassuring smile. "How do you know that for certain?" I ask.

"Because you are, we all are. We've all been through shit, but we've made it through together." Glenn walks off and I glance at Maggie before I join in on the scavenging. I walk into the gas station with my knife up ready for anything to come at me. It isn't that dark considering it's sometime in the afternoon.

"It's clear." Randall says from the back. I put my knife down but keep it in my hand because you can never be too safe. I make way to Randall, kicking some empty cans along the way. He was stuffing some things into his bag and it made me aware that I don't even have anything to put shit into. I go into the next aisle which for my luck has bags hanging on the rack. These bags weren't that big, they were the kind of ones that you sling around you. I picked out a brown one, just a plan brown one and made my way back to Randall.

"How are you?" I ask immediately regretting it. How do you think he is? He just lost his girlfriend. "Just trying to manage." He says. There was a change in Randall, he wasn't like how he was back at the farm or even the prison. But we all are different now.

"Look...you know Beth loved you right?"

I knew he wasn't just upset, he was pissed. She was mad at him the last time they saw each other. He never got to fix that and that absolutely kills him in more ways than one. Randall doesn't say anything so I place my hand on his shoulder and he drops the cans he was putting into his bag. He seemed to be struggling with just his one hand, he was being too hard on himself.

"Here let me help."

"No! Stop!" He yells as he shoves me away.
"I was just trying to help!" I defend. "What makes you think you can be so cruel all of a sudden?" Randall picks everything up and gets them into his bag before standing up. "My girlfriend just died!" He screams at me.

"We lose people Randall! That's how this world is now, there isn't anything we can do!" I yell. He moves closer to me in rage but I don't move a single muscle. "So you can be a total raging bitch for days when someone you love dies but I can't!?"

"That was different!"

"How so Hailey? How so!?"

"That was the last piece of blood family I had Randall. You still have your sister!" I am about on the verge of tears by now, but I'm too mad to shed a tear. "You still had people Hailey. You had me, you had Maggie, you even had Carl's love but you fucking failed to see that!" He screams. "I have my sister, and I have you and everyone else. But there will forever be a chunk of my heart missing that Beth will always have."

"You're right, okay. Damn." I say. "I didn't mean-"

"It's okay. I shouldn't have flipped out. I'm sorry." Randall cuts me off. I nod in response then walk away. There was nothing that useful in here so we went back outside. I went to Carl who was holding Judith in his arms. I smile at her and take her. Rocking her side to side I kiss her head and she quickly falls asleep. "So, what's our next move?" I ask. "I don't know we just have to wait and see what my dad chooses."

We got a two other cars working so we decided to ditch the fire truck. Judith is still asleep so Carol took her and went into one of the cars so I could get my stuff. I grab the duffle bag with James old stuff and then my bag. Placing them in the trunk of the car that I'll be in, I open James' bag and take out his Nemo stuffed animal and put it my small bag that I was wearing. I closed the trunk and made my way to Rick who was figuring out where to go from here.

"Beth wanted to get me home in Virginia. That was the plan before they caught her and made her come back." Noah told us.
"If that's what Beth wanted than I think we should do it." I say. Glenn nods his head agreeing with me.

"It's going to take a couple days." Rick informs us.
"It's what she would want." Rick looks at me and frowns. "Please."
He nods and looks at everyone, "I guess we are going to Virginia."
