|Hailey's P.o.v.|

Rick sent us on perimeter watch just incase Aaron is lying. At this point he seems pretty innocent but Rick still has his suspicions which makes sense.

"What do you think about him?" I ask Randall. I look over at him and it's pretty amazing how he adjusted to the gun so quickly without his left arm.

"I don't know. It's hard to trust people."

I look over at Rachael and smile a bit, "What about you?"

Rachael gives me a stern look, not out of spite but because she's alert.

"I don't trust anyone."

I look away from Rachael and walk up to Carl.

"Hey." He smiles wrapping his arm around my waist. I smile at him and admire the boy I fell in love with. I'm so grateful for him.

"Do you think Aaron is lying?" I ask. Carl is usually quiet when it comes to these things, but that also means he watches and pays attention. I would trust his opinion depending on what it's on.

"No, but my dad does "

"That's understandable though. I mean, look what we've been through." I tell him. Carl nods but doesn't seem convinced.

"I don't think everyone is bad and I feel bad for Aaron." He says looking in my eyes. "If he wanted to try anything he would've by now. He shouldn't still be tied up."

"It's understandable." I say. "We've been through hell and I don't blame your dad for being so harsh. Just think about it."

Carl nods and looks away from me. I don't know if Rick will be persuade by this dude. We trusted everyone we could and so far we've almost murdered by all of them. I agree that we can't afford to take any chances...I'm not taking any chances. After James I'm not fucking around with people.

Baby cries erupt and Carl goes to run in but I stop him. "I'll go check on them."

I don't want him to worry. I pull my gun out and walk into the barn. As I do Rick and Aaron are in the middle of a conversation.

"This isn't a trick." Aaron says. "I'm not trying to make you like me, it's self preservation."

"What is he talking about?" I ask looking over at Rick who is comforting a crying Judith.

"He has apple sauce in his bag." He tells me. I walk over and grab Judith so it's easier for Rick to do what he needs to. I shush her the best I can.

"Maybe you should trust him on this. If the walkers here her they will come and I know you'll send him out first." Rick doesn't trust him and I'm iffy about him also, if he's lying it's an easy kill but if he's telling the truth we can't afford to lose that.

"But if he is telling the truth we can't pass it up."

Rick seems to be coming around with this apple sauce idea because he knows I have a point and Judith keeps whaling. Rick looks at us and then goes to grab the apple sauce. He dips the small spoon in it and holds it up to Aarons face.

"Eat it." Rick tells him. I move to the other side of Aaron and balance Judith on my hip.

"You think I'm going to poison the baby?" He asks looking at us if he was insane.

"You would be surprised how many people would consider." I say causing Aarom to look at me now.

"I'm tied up and you already have a willingness to stab me in the head at any costs. Do you really think I'm going to do something?" He asks me. I look at Rick and so does Aaron. Rick seems to be getting agitated.
