The sun came up and bathed the lands in colors of gold and red.
Below her, children ran and played in groups while the adults put last minute preparations together.
"Everything is prepared for you, Ma'am."
I turned, my eyes landing on the woman who had changed my life.
"Thank you. Did father say when they'd be arriving?"
"They'll be here within the hour." The large man pushed through the closed door, barely noticing the fact that I wore no clothes. "And I expect you there with no attitude, child."
I couldn't help the snort that escaped my lips. Child. Two hundred years old and he still considered me a child.
"As you wish, alpha." The sarcasm dripped off my tongue, my 'fathers' anger apparent in the small room.
"You are the seer above anything else, daughter. Do not forget your place." He glared at me, before turning to the only other person in the room. "I trust you will make sure she is completely ready and downstairs by the time of their arrival. We need to forge this treaty, or else we will be burnt with the rest of the villages."
"Of course, alpha."
The aggravating man left, slamming the door behind him.
"Do not pay him any mind. He's just a grumpy old man."
Allison laughed, her blue eyes twinkling and went to the tub to draw a bath.
"I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Now get in, ma'am."
"Alli, I've told you a million times. Ma'am is not my name."**
"Don't you want help?" Allison urged.
"Nope. This is something I have to do myself, you know that."
Dipping the tip of the brush into the black liquid, I began the boring process similar to painting.
When Allison tugged a sensitive strand of hair, a glare was sent her way.
"I'm sorry, your hair is just too curly.."
"We've been over this, chop it off."
"Never! Your hair is beautiful, ma'am. It must stay."
With an eye roll, she got back to work.
As per ritual, my deep green eyes were surrounded by thick winged liner, my lashes, long enough to reach the perfect brows Allison had spent an hour plucking.
On the edge of my eyes, small jewels followed the shape of the wing, creating a contrast against my pale skin. My lips had been painted over with a deep brown color, to set off my eyes.
"Let's get you dressed, ma'am." Allison smiled as she pinned the last piece of hair up.
"What if I want to go naked?"
"Do not joke like that, nudity is not a big deal unless you're the seer."
With a click of her tongue Allison grabbed the bag hanging on the closet door and unzipped it.
"Very well."
I stared in the mirror as Allison helped put the retched thing on. Alli had outdone herself yet again. The curly red locks had been well tamed and pinned up with small tendrils hanging down to frame my face. Various flowers had been placed throughout, and a gold headband had been placed on top making my head heavier than before. The two piece mocked me as it was put on. The nude color made it seem as though I had no clothes on, but the jewels and decoration told otherwise. The top was similar to a bra with gems and rhinestones as decoration. Large breasts were barely contained, spilling over the edges, providing just enough material to cover the light pink nipples underneath. A large necklace hung from my neck, the jewel resting at the top of my cleavage. My flat stomach was bare, and the bottoms rested low on my hips. Jewels decorated the skin colored fabric around and led down to a flowing skirt with slits up the sides giving room to move freely.
Allison helped place arm cuffs in the proper place, and rings for each finger. My sharp nails, so well taken care of, had been painted black and reminded me of claws.
"Are you nervous?" Allison asked.
"Of course not."
"Could have fooled me, ma'am."
