"You're late." Father growled. His eyes had turned a sickly shade of yellow, his age diminishing his power.
"You would be too if you had to wear this trash."
"They're here, and he wants to see you. Let's go."
As usual, any time I left the sanctuary of my home a full on guard detail followed behind me.
"Mind your tongue, he can rip it out with no consequence."
"Are we not going to fight?" I growled. His hand tightened on my small bicep, forcing me to follow him.
"Not unless you want everyone here to die."
"What does he want?"
"I've no clue, daughter. When I find out, you'll be the first to know."
The pack standing in a crowd came into view before I saw them.
I could see their appeal now, I could see why they were feared. In the front stood a man that would tower over any living being. Everyone was taller than me, my genetics stoping my growth at only 5'1", but this man was a giant. A Goliath. Beast. I had to crane my neck back just to see the bottom of his chest. The pure power radiating from him surrounded me, intoxicated me.
Behind him stood about thirty warriors, each wearing nothing except for loose black pants.
"I see why you fear for the lives of many." I snickered as father fumed.
"Mind your tongue or I will sever it."
"Alpha Remus, it is a pleasure to finally meet you." Goliath said with a predatory smile on his face. "As you well know, your surrounding packs have all been burnt to nothing. I see you've taken in some of the few that surrendered. Will you make the same mistake they did?"
"Of course not, Mr. Rikard. I would never be so ill witted."
"Than what have you prepared to offer me in return for your freedom?"
Goliath looked directly into my eyes, sending shivers down my spine. Something flashed in him, surprise, perhaps. He took a deep breath before stepping forward and grabbing hold of my arms in a rough squeeze. Tingles shot throughout my body, a surprisingly pleasurable feeling.
He trailed his nose along the sensitive spot on my neck, goosebumps covered me from head to toe. An unknown feeling filled my bones. Gently, he licked from collarbone to ear, teasing, before growling one word. Mine.
"She is coming with me. We leave, NOW." He growled and his warriors mindlessly followed.
"B-but.."
"No buts Remus I do not have time for them."
"The treaty, the alliance..."
Fear flowed through my veins as reality dawned. The moon watched from above, sending tender feelings in way of a soft, hazy glow.
"Consider yourselves under my rule. You are no longer alpha, Remus. I own you." Goliath smiled at father, his white teeth gleaming.
"No. That is not the deal."
"You dare disobey?" Goliath growled. "Kill them all."
