Elric*

I sat at the head of the table, an empty chair to my left. The more I stared at the cold throne the more I wanted to throw something. I'd given Regan specific instructions to have her ready and here on time. As usual, the dimwit had ruined that notion. Next to the empty chair sat the man designated to represent the wolves. He was dressed casually, as normal, with tan pants and a tunic. His long hair was pulled back, revealing his scrawny features. His wife, next to him, was just as thin with a body that could be snapped in two by a glare. Across from them, to my right, sat the Elvin Leaders. Before I had gotten my hands on them they bore the title of king and queen. Now, they were nothing but informants. The man, Jude, gave me another glare as I smirked. The anger coursing through my veins at this man was incomparable. He had clipped my woman's ear.
The fact that they had no clue their daughter was here made my insides turn in happiness. I couldn't wait to see their face when she came through the door. Beside Jude sat a woman with reddish blonde hair. She looked similar to Syndra, just old and tired.
The rest of the table did me no good as they never spoke. They never gave updates, and this is the main reason we're here, aside from their nosiness.  My mother and father stood behind me, one hand on either side of my seat.
"Elric-" Jude began. "I mean Your Highness, pray tell why you've let our dear Lucille go."
"Yes, son. Why let such a wonderful woman go to waste?"
"Letting a jewel such as her go has to be a sign. What have you planned?"
"Is she unable to bear a child?"
"If that's the case, good ridden. I want a grandchild and I want one now. You boys are too old to be any fun."
"Mother, calm down." Edit walked through the double doors, Allison on his arm. I had to say the girl was stunning. It's no wonder she caught his eye. I would never admit it, but after her intended left her I slit his throat in the courtyard and watched the life drain from his eyes with a smile on my face. The vile man had hurt a woman my love was fond of. Edit had taken a liking to her as soon as he had come back from the raid, they've been inseparable since.
A scuffle could be heard in the hall, and Regan came through the doors next. Before running to take a seat. Edit pulled a chair out for Allison who gave me a knowing look. I stood, and everyone's attention turned my way.
"Council, I do believe the reason you're looking for is about to come through those doors-"
All eyes turned towards the golden doors as they opened for hopefully the last time. The collection of gasps amused me, however, it was Jude's face that nearly broke my concentration. Pain poured from him in waves, and I almost felt bad. Almost.
"And who might this be?" Father asked.
I finally turned and felt the breath drawn from my body. Never in my life had I seen someone so beautiful. The tight black dress clung like a second skin, the slit reaching the top of her hip and giving me a peak at what lie beneath. The top, a lace material, covered her skin in a delicate, see through way that teased. Her long beautiful curls had been tamed and pulled away from her face and the gold band that rested on her head complimented the style well. I could hear her heels clacking against the ground, but my eyes were drawn to hers. She was stunning.
