"Hold your tongue, daughter." Father growled as I protested.
"Never. You cannot kill these people, they are innocent."
"Watch me." Goliath hissed as he forced me forward.
There was no choice. There was no way out of this, nobody disobeyed this man and lived, but I had to convince father to take the deal. "Alpha, father. Just apologize, bow to him. He will leave, you and the others will be at peace."
"Never. I came here to make a treaty, to live in peace. But I will never surrender."
Before my eyes, Goliath reared his now clawed hand back and shoved it through my fathers chest. A shocked look covered his eyes, before Goliath pulled out his still beating heart.
"I shall feast on your innards for dinner, fool."
I had never seen anything like it in my two hundred years.. A man.. A man so powerful.. Shock coursed through my veins, and then anger as I snarled at the beast.
"Calm yourself, little one." He laughed. "Do you really think you can threaten me? Look how tiny, how minuscule, you are."
A deeper growl escaped my throat, a fire ignited in my body.
"Kill them, spare the children."
The Warriors moved forward, one of them grabbing Allison by her hair and shoving her to her knees.
"No!" The scream sounded foreign. As though it were not mine.
"No?" Goliath asked, one brow raised.
"Do not hurt her." I muttered as I met his gaze. I knew, despite my age, and my power, that I would not be able to save the people I had grown up with.
"And what will I get in return?"
"Allow me my maid, allow me to gather my things. Spare my clan, the alpha is dead. They have no reason to fight you."
"Again, I ask, what do I get in return?"
"I-I'll go peacefully. I will not struggle against you. Whatever you ask."
"Whatever I ask?" Goliath had a sneaky gleam in his eye as he repeated the words. "Very well. Move on, men. Beta, gather her belongings and have them brought along. Find her maid, do not harm her."**
Goliath had not let go since the incident in the field. He held my arm bruisingly tight and glared at the Warriors who lingered in the vicinity too long
"Put this on." Goliath ordered as he pulled a long sleeved shirt from a bag one of his men carried.
"No."
With a snarl, he forced my arms into the sleeves and buttoned the front of the shirt. "Remember, you agreed to come along peacefully. To do as I say. Disobey, and there will be punishment."
"You do not scare me, beast. I have seen things far worse than you and your pack of blood suckers and mutts." I lied. I had never seen anything like them, never felt this kind of power. And I loved it.
