Lauren

I check the time after scrolling through tumblr for a while. The bells about to ring. I stand and start heading to fifth hour before the cattle rush in behind me.

Yay I have science now. There is nothing I can't learn from Bill Nye the science guy that this class can show me. As always the boring class drags on. But do I really want to rush to gym class after. I should just leave. Go get some real food then go home. Damn I forgot I got to drive Chris home now.

There goes that idea.

I find myself in the gymnasium before anyone else. I sit at the top of the bleachers they have pulled out. Slowly kids fill the rows in front of me.

Two cheer uniform wearing girls walk in last. They sit on the front row. I see that same bow. God why is she in all my classes.

Before i have time to think more on it, Coach walks in and starts talking.

"Tomorrow I expect you all to dress out. Red shorts or sweats and a plain white t shirt are required. Today you can walk around the gym until the bell rings or shoot hoops." He blows his whistle and kids climb down from the bleachers.

I start to lay down on the bleacher when coach stops me. "Jauregui. Let's hustle! Remove the hat." I throw him a thumbs up and climb down. I leave my hat on. It's the end of the day he wont challenge me.

Walking around and around the gym seems exhausting. If I pretend to play basketball I can just bounce the ball around.

After retrieving the ball I go to an empty hoop. Most girls walk around the gym and the guys made teams to play a game on the other end. I don't see bow tie anywhere. Not that I care.

I shove my head phones in and play some more Lana. I can never get sick of her.

Camila

Calculus seems so intense. I don't know how I'll survive this class. But eventually I do. The bell rings and I can't get out of here fast enough. Just going over the syllabus made my head spin. Now I have gym and after gym I have practice. This is going to suck.

I can tell my mood has really gone down. Just the thought of Austin approaching me at any minute terrifies me. I don't know what I'd even say.

I walk as fast as I can. Waving to familiar faces but avoided conversation that will keep me from reaching my destination.

"CheeChee!" I hear Dinah call out my nick name from in front of me waving. I sigh in relief. She'll want to get to gym fast. "Hey Choncho! I practically growl in excitement. As I approach her I see her grab someone's arm.

She yanks Austin into view. Of all people I wouldn't think Dinah would force this on me. Not without talking about it first.

"Hey Mila, You know Austin?" Dinah makes an introduction for us. "Yea, Hi." I smile and give a little wave. "Oh look it's Siope." Dinah points and walks away leaving us alone. I swallow the lump forming in my throat. I don't see Siope.

"Hey Camila you look really nice today." He shifts on his feet. Aw he's nervous too. "Thanks, so do you." I return the compliment. Even though he looks like the same Austin in a polo from last year.

"I was wondering if maybe if you wanted to hang out sometime?" He rubs the back of his neck. I study his face to try to read his intentions. He has such a baby face. Blemish and facial hair free. "Uh, yea that sounds nice." I give a hopeful smile. "Cool! Can I get your number?" His smile takes over his face. It's actually really cute. I give him my number then he speaks again. "I'll see you around then." "Yea, see you." I smile back at him.
