Limits. (Zak Bagans Fan Fic)

Empty House.

Aaron's POV

After a few days I decided to come home and deal with Roni, it wasn't her fault her mother was back in town and stalking her but then again I don't want her at my house.

When I first met Roni it took her a good year to open up about her mother, the abandonment issues she had, neglected and not being loved. Her gran took her in and protected her from the world, she taught Roni to love everyone and anyone as love goes a far way. I couldn't imagine how Roni was feeling now Helen was back in her life and I've just ran away from her leaving her on her own.

I got a plane back to Vegas and rushed home, but as I arrived Roni wasn't to be found. Her Rover was gone and some bags were packed, I soon went into panic.

"What have I done?" My heart sunk. I grabbed my keys and headed to Zak's house, maybe she was there or he knows where she is.

I rushed into Zak's house and caught Roni asleep on Zak's chest. "Dude you're back?" He placed his book down.

"I-I uh I thought she left." I breathlessly panted. "Bags are packed at mine."

"She came over yesterday, didn't want to be by herself. She's been a wreck since you've left, she's sorry." Zak looked down at her and brushed away the stray hairs on her face.

I won't ever admit to anyone but seeing him look at her like that, like she is everything he needs, it broke me.

"Come sit" he patted the sofa next to him. I went over and sat down not looking away from Roni. "Beautiful sight isn't she?" Zak whispered.

"You have no idea Zak." I shook my head, I knew deep down Roni liked Zak but I wasn't sure how Zak felt about Roni and there's no way I'll forgive Zak if he hurts her. "I'm scared of losing her and she isn't even mine." I scoffed.

"And she feels the same way, do you know why Helen would be back?" Zak asked.

"No idea, my thing is maybe after Eliza past away Helen wants some closure but I dunno. I just want her to leave Roni alone." Zak just nodded with me.

Roni started to toss in Zak's lap and moan, she was about to wake up.

"Aaron." She moaned, her eyes adjusted to opening and she sprung out of Zak's embrace and jumped onto me. "Aaron!"

"Roni, I'm sorry" I held her so tight, I took a deep sniff of her amazing scent.

She said nothing but grip me tighter, I opened my eyes to Zak and he looked jealous that I had Roni. He got up from his chair and headed outside.

"Roni, why do you have bags packed?" I cradled her in my arms like a baby.

"I was gonna move out, Aaron I don't want Helen around and especially not in your house. I don't wanna be a pain and cause shit." She spoke looking away from me.

"You're not going anywhere. We'll deal with Helen. Together." I kissed her forehead.

"Hey guys! Bright and sunny day, let's do a barbecue and swim?" Zak came in all jolly and happy.

We all nodded. "Roni stay here and Aaron and I will get the meat." I shot a look to Zak. He would never allow someone to be here alone, yet a female here.

We got into my truck and headed off. "You sure you want her there, alone?"

"Yea. I wanna talk to you, if I'm cutting your grass with her I'll back away." He looked at me.

"Zak" I sighed. "She likes you, I love her I truly do but we are no more than best friends." It killed me to say that.

"But they way you two-"

"That's who we are! Zak, we've know each other for ages. I know her inside and out, I know when her period comes, I know when she needs a Pap test, I know when eye left eye twitches she is about to rage hard. I've know her for too long, soon you'll find out these things but dude you hurt her our friendship is done."

"I love her." Zak admitted. I slammed hard on the brakes and pulled over.

"What?" I was stunned.

"I love her. I always have." He bit his lip.

We arrived home with all the food to see Roni outside tanning. We both unloaded the food and stepped outside to take a batter look, her dark red hair shined brightly in the sun. You could tell the universe loved her, the way it played with her hair like that.

"I'll start" I nudged Zak.

I headed inside to cut the meat up and watched Zak head over to Roni, he laid down beside her and she instantly wrapped her hands around him like it was a given, like the way she used to do it to me.

They exchanged a few laughs then Zak slowly kissed her, my heart sunk again watching it. Someone else to be on those lips, someone else to hold her and especially hold her heart. Moments like these I was an idiot not to have her, an idiot to convince myself I didn't want to be with her.
