If you ever feel like you've been trapped..
you dont have to be afraid..
look around you, there's so much love..
your scars are about to fade..
The wounds won't heal, you feel so bad..
you sit crying all night..
Anxiety taking over you,
fears creeping your mind..
My fingers stopped moving over the guitar strings as I paused my singing. Sitting in the balcony for past one hour hasnt helped much. But I did come up with lyrics for this song. So I guess that's okay.
I felt like I was starting to give in to depression again.
My back was hurting because I've been leaning onto the wall but I didnt even have the energy to move. I positioned my fingers on the guitar strings and started singing again.
If you ever feel so all alone..
Nobody understands your pain,
remember there are people who care for you..
who dont wanna see you break.
They would do anything to make you smile,
even when you feel so lost,
hopelessly wandering for the light..
they'll give it to you any day or night.
I sighed as I placed the guitar away and hugged my legs to my chest. My eyes darted up to beautiful starry sky and it somehow felt so comforting.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard someone clapping. My head snapped towards Shayan's balcony and I bit my lip feeling embarassed. I never liked anyone watching me when I'm singing. Who knows I could have sounded like dying hyena.
"Mm, not bad." He commented on my song, grinning. His hands were dropped in his pockets, his torso naked and his hair ruffled along the wind.
And I was saying the starry sky was beautiful.
I got up holding onto the railing and leaned onto it, holding back a smile. "You were listening?"
"Well since you were really quiet and not loud," He said, sarcasm dripping in his words.
My lips curled into a smile, "Well, I'm not so sorry for waking you up then,"
"Well Haaniyah Maryam, you will be.." He said moving closer to the railing, his eyes all playful. I stared at him clueless while he jumped onto my balcony like a ninja.
"Shayan," I whispered tilting my head up a little as he stared down at me breathless. "Not sorry huh?" He smirked taking a step towards me and I moved back. One more step..
And one more..
till my back hit the wall and his hands caged me in.
"Not sorry huh?" He asked me again, wearing his million dollar smirk bringing the swarm of butterflies back in my stomach. His breath fanned my skin as I closed my eyes and moved my face closer to him, awaiting my kiss. I enjoyed the silence around me but not until he snickered.
I opened my eyes abruptly and saw him doubling his laughter.
I punched his arm annoyed and picked up my guitar to leave to the room. I stopped when he pulled me by my arm and sighed.
