Chapter 49
"Do you get it?" He asked as his lips left mine and I felt this was ruder than the kiss. No, please continue.
I shook my head and he kissed me again, this time softly as if to make sure this was a proper kiss conveying his feelings. "Now? He whispered.
I shook my head again and he flicked my forehead.
"What a slow heroine," he commented.
"Ow, what was that for?" I rubbed my forehead, a little annoyed. Despite the situation we were in, I wanted to continue.
"This is a hospital," He said grinning, his eyes twinkling mischievously. My face heated up.
Ugh...
"And isn't this one of your wishes?" He asked, taking my hand, and intertwining our fingers together. Suddenly the entire place seemed to feel burning hot.
"To be kissed in the hospital?" I was curious. What even?
He laughed, "No. To be kissed in the middle of an argument..."
When did I write such a dumbass wish...
I chuckled nervously, "Oh uh well you know I saw these dramas and movies, thought it'd be - ughh - don't make me say it. It looked cool when I saw them kissing out of nowhere... with all the passion and stuff."
He burst out laughing and a male nurse gave us a suspicious look as he passed by. I thanked god for an empty corridor.
"So, do you get it what I'm trying to say?"
My heart fluttered inside, and I blushed furiously. "Yes," I answered, scooting closer to him, and kissing his cheek. In return, he kissed mine and chuckled when I became - surely, more red.
"I miss fulfilling your wishes," He said, playing with my fingers, intertwining them with his.
"Really?"
"We should finish that list of yours you know once, once mom - " he paused, sadness washing over him and I sighed, hugging him.
"Haaniyah,"
"Mm?"
There was silence and my eyes met his. There was a small smile on his face and he took my hand, kissing it.
"I'm sorry for breaking up with you."
"No I deserved it. I didn't understand your feelings that time. But I also wanted to move back because I can't let you give up the comfort of your home for me."
"Haaniyah, I'd do anything for you,"
I smiled and kissed his hand. "Same."
He ruffled my hair, "when did you grow up so much kiddo?"
"Pfff.. I was always awesome," I said with a shrug and he shook his head laughing.
"And why do you call me kiddo? I'm like just one year younger than you."
"Because you are a kiddo, Doraemon," he said, yawning and rubbing his eyes. He must be really tired.
"And I cant believe you called me bastard." He added, joking.
My jaw dropped. "Oh my god I'm so sorry," I joined my hands like a namaste.
He grinned, "it was so funny. I cracked up seeing that message."
I smiled and a question was lingering inside my head.
I decided to ask, "Why were you so mad at me at the station? And Seb and Ahmed told me no one could contact you. Not even D."
