Chapter 12
"Sure. You ain't my boyfriend anyways." I mumbled, looking at the ground.
"You said that out loud," He pointed out, running his fingers through his curls.
Argh...
I followed him into the house because now I can't even run away to hide my face because of embarrassment.
What was I thinking when I asked him if he was jealous.
Huh.
I went to my room to place my mobile phone for charging while he went and locked the main door. It seemed like everyone else were already asleep. I quickly changed into my pajamas.
When I came back to the living room, I noticed him watching tv - again a football match. The hall lights were dimmed so I tip-toed all the way to kitchen. I didn't want to disturb him. No can predict what his next move is. Like seriously, it's better to be safe from this monster.
I finally reached the food paradise; yeah that's what I call kitchen as - 'food paradise'. I yanked open all the little cabinet doors to check if something was in there 'cause I badly wanted to make something for me to eat. My two idiots ate all the popcorn by themselves while I starved.
"What are you doing?" came a voice behind me.
"GOD!" " YOU SCARED THE HECK OUT OF ME!" I spun around to give him those death glares I think I can pull off well.
"Oh well, did I?" He replied, pushing himself back to lean against the wall, his hands dropped in his pockets.
When the heck did he get here?
HE MUST BE A NINJA.
Oh yeah I miss those 'balcony ninja meets'.
"So what are you doing?" He asked as he marched towards to me.
"Milk," I answered, turning around to pour milk into the vessel. And then I noticed him smirking.
"What?!" I asked.
He snickered, "Did you even turn on the stove?"
I shook my head, a bit annoyed.
"Go sit in the hall. I'll make something for you." He offered, quickly giving me that half-smile that melts me.
"Really? But it's okay.. I'll feel bad." I said looking at his eyes that were infinitely shiny.
How can someone be this perfect?
"Go," He ordered but not sounding too bossy.
"I'll wait here." I said and jumped on to the kitchen counter to watch him cook.
He smirked at me before turning around to grab some vegetables from the fridge. Then he went for water and then some spices one by one. He started chopping all the vegetables one by one.
Damn this guy! he's awesome.
He seems professional.
I leaned back, resting my head on the edge of a little cabinet and kept rubbing my arms to keep myself warmer.
My gaze was fixed on him and everything he did. I couldn't help but feel the heat rising up to my cheeks. Because every time I see him, I'm reminded of the kiss we shared. Or rather I'd say it was the kiss which was forced and it's supposed to be a joke or punishment. But somewhere, I'm too stubborn to admit that I want it to happen again.
When it happened that day, I didn't know how to face him anymore. My head was spinning with every move he made with his lips on mine.
I feel my heart beat faster when I think about it.
