Chapter 13

This pov is another angle of Sierra's way of thinking before she passes out. And also there's a flashback/ dream sequence while she's in the E.R. Just letting you know if anyone's confused. 😊

Sierra POV~

Making my way downstairs as fast as possible. Half because of anger and the other curiosity. I was so sick and tired of it all. Reaching up, wiping a bead of sweat from my forehead before walking into the lobby.

I can't believe I am actually doing this. I know its crazy plus this fever is kicking my ass. Seeing there's plenty of people around made me feel a bit better.

Patting my sweating palms down my pants. I Then scan the whole area. From the entryway to the seating area to the front desk.

" Man I think Sara's right, I really do need to be seen by a doctor, " thinking to myself after looking over the lobby four times before feeling a little dizzy. So I decided to call him to make this easier and get this over with. Taking out my phone, checking my call list. " Man this guy isn't too bright, " I said aloud while placing the call.

Waiting for him to answer. I noticed someone in the seating area phone ring. And he answered," Where are you? "  I asked then someone bumped into causing me to stumble the other way.

" I'm right behind you just turn around, " he said.

Upon turning, I wasn't anticipating the person am seeing right now. I just stood there in a state of shock. He was just a few yards away.

" What the hell is going on ? How is this even possible? " were thoughts that crossed my mind. 

My emotions were all over the place. I am pretty sure, I must look crazy at this moment standing here like this.

" What are you doing h......, " I said taking a step back. We made eye contact which sends me over edge. Then he began walking towards me.

My breathing becomes laboured, the need to get away is my mindset. With watery eyes I turn to leave. But I'm lightheaded, my vision's blurry and panic sets in. Suddenly my body went limp crashing to the floor before I blacked out.

5 1/2 years ago....

I'm in class about to take notes for an lecture. Looking through my bag for a pen but came up empty. Damn I really prefer writing my notes down on paper before typing it.

" Can't believe I forgot to bring one or did I lose it, " in a whispered tone.

Feeling someone tap my shoulder. It startled me a bit. Turning around and making eye contact with this person.

" Whoa he's hot, " I thought to myself.

" Here use mine, " he said handing me a pen .

Staring for a sec, I take the pen that was offered and told him," Thanks. "

" No prob," he answered with a smile.

Turning back in my seat, I began jotting down notes. This is a must if I want to keep my grades up. Thus keep my scholarship.

I don't have time to be checking out guys or even this one. But he does look good can't believe I didn't notice him before.

" Stop it ! Sierra focus ! " I told myself. " But there's no harm in just looking," I smirked.

From then on, I would see him around campus. We would greet each other or have small talk. Mostly about class or the weather etc. He was nice but I don't know if I wanted to date him. My friends Maria and Stacy always tease me about it.

" Where's your boyfriend, what's his face ? " Maria teased.

" It's Chan, I don't know and stop please, " I said hoping she would drop it.

" But we always see you talking to him. What's going on ? " Stacy said while winking.

" Nothing, Well I need to get to work, " I told them both rushing out the library cause I really didn't wanna go any further with this conversation.

They always asking me why I don't have a boyfriend. It's not like I haven't dated before. In high school l did. Well more like I've dated two guys. The first didn't go anywhere, we were more like friends than anything. Second guy cheated on me with my suppose to be friend. He told me that the reason for his actions was because I wasn't giving him any. That actually hurt and I felt something for him. I thought everything was going good but boy was I wrong. So I decided to leave dating alone for now.

Months pass, Chan sits down next to me in the courtyard on campus. I'm just sitting there typing away on my laptop when he asked.

" You need a break, Come on let's go grab a coffee, " tugging my arm.

" I can't right now I need to finish this up, " I told him looking at him then back at my laptop screen.

" Aw come on, " he said giving me puppy dog eyes.

" Okay but can I take a rain check because I have to be at work in hour, " I said patting him on the shoulder.

" Alright how about tomorrow, " he asked.

So we agreed to meet tomorrow at the coffee shop near school at three .
