Side story - Javon POV

At the office late one night.....

A man and woman notice their feelings for each other

But wasn't sure if it love or simply lust...

that night they felt the pull of passion.

One thing led to another

But little did they know....

That this course of action would change their lives forever.

7 months later...

" I wonder why he's not answering his phone," I said aloud.

" It's alright. I'll go with you to Lamaze class since am already with you, " Sierra said out of concern for her cousin.

" No he promised, " I huffed while calling him once again.

I was worried and tired of this. Cause in the beginning everything was amazing and on fire.

But now it's like he doesn't wanna see me. I know he works but it's like am last on his list. And to top it off my ankles are swollen again. Wondering if I should see the doctor about this.

Maybe I should just go home, skip class today. I've been down lately cause of dealing with my mother-in-law. She's not that bad but can be critical sometimes. It's an whole nother story with my mother. Having my cousin Sierra to talk to helps a lot.

" If you want, I could drive you there and wait till he comes, " Sierra says bringing me out my thoughts.

Sighing, I tell her, " I think I just wanna go home and lay down, " wiping my forehead because it's hot out. Also am thinking, it was an bad idea sitting outside instead of inside of the restaurant. I am still not used to being pregnant.

" Alright then, You do look kinda tired, " Sierra said standing picking up both of our purses as we walked over to my car.

At home ~

Lying in bed as I watched Sierra sleep. I thought about how we used to do this as kids. Even though we're six years apart. We formed a special bond. I'm also proud of her for getting a scholarship to go to college.

" She's like my child in a way, " I thought to myself as I moved some hair that fallen in her face. Really hope that I'll be a good mother. And with that I also fell fast to sleep.

Several hours later~

Feeling someone pat me awake. I turn to see it's my husband Rob. Knowing am upset by the look on my face. He pleaded with me, on how sorry he was for being late. " Am so sorry babe, I was busy so I couldn't answer at the time when you called, " he explained.

Checking the time, seeing it's well past 11. I just let it go and then I asked....

" Did you have dinner yet ? I could make you something, " I said sitting up in bed.

" No, It's alright but I could make you something, " he said, I guess he's trying to make up for earlier. It's a start cause am really hungry I smiled to myself.

" Where's Sierra ? " I asked noticing the other side of the bed was empty.

" Oh, she left a little while before I woke you up. She said she had to get up early tomorrow, " he told me.

" Oh Yeah, I almost forgot tomorrow's her first day of college, " I said thinking that's reason we were celebrating at that restaurant. I couldn't help smiling like a proud parent.

" You really care for her a lot, Am kinda jealous, " he announced sounding serious then quickly covering it up with a smile.

" Really ? But she's family, " I say playfully hitting in the arm.

" Well, Let's get you two something to eat, Okay, "he laughs pointing to my stomach, kissing me on the cheek. Then taking me by the hand, leading me out the bedroom and downstairs to the kitchen.

The Next day ~

" It's so different here, it's definitely different, not like high school, " Sierra laughed nervously over the phone after I asked her how she's liking her first day of college.

" You'll get used to it, In no time. Everyone has those kind of fears when there's a big change in their lives, " I reassure her knowing those words I need to keep in mind too.

Few days later....

While out shopping with my mother. I see something, I thought I never would see. I was stunned, it was my husband with some woman.

Laughing and talking with excitement. They were sitting awfully close which didn't sit all to well with me. I couldn't believe this as I watched them through the window of the restaurant.

" I knew he wasn't no good, Men are all the same, " my mother spat beating me by voicing her anger first.

" No ! Mom let's just go, Please, " I pleaded feeling uneasy in the pit of my stomach. I would deal with this later at home, where there would be less people around.

But she didn't listen as she grabbed my arm and pulled me into the restaurant to confront my husband.

" Come on ! We have to do this. I am not letting this happen to my daughter. Hell No!! " my mother yelled causing people to stare.

Embarrassed I begged her, " Mom stop, Please " but it was too late, it caught the attention of everyone in the restaurant. And when I mean everyone, I mean everyone was watching now.

" Oh ho ho... What do we have here, " Marie said walking over to their table. Then drawing back her hand, smacking her son-in-law in the back of the head. The action caused multiple gasps.

Pulling my mother's hand back before she could do anymore damage, " Stop! " I screamed then feeling a sharp pain in my belly. Stumbling and holding my stomach about to collapse.

" Baby ! " Rob rushed over catching me before I hit the floor.

" Why ? Robert Why ? " I said as tears ran down my face. " Why does it hurt so bad ? " I thought to myself. Didn't know if it's this pain in my stomach or my feelings, which one was worse.

" Baby, Shhh.... Don't talk. We need to get you to the hospital, "Rob spoke with concern for his wife.

" You asshole ! You're cheating on..... " I yelled as another pain hit me as he guided me out the restaurant to the car.

Sorry for ending it right here, its a part 2 to this. I hope its alright it probably has errors cause I was sick for the past three days and still am.
