Ever since how our conversation went, I've been thinking really hard on how things were going between us. I was going to wait until I could gain her trust. But now.....
After the way she swatted my hand away. It made me kind of upset so I made nice. And did everything in my power to hold back what I was truly feeling. I couldn't get out that restaurant fast enough.
When we stepped out into the night air, I took a deep breath of much needed air into my lungs. And let it out as I walked to the driver's side, waited for the girls to get in the car and seated. Only then did I get in, started the car up, pulled out the parking lot.
The drive to Sierra's house was so tense. Aya was already sleep as we hit the expressway. I was glad for that because I didn't want her to hear what I was going to say to her mother. It wasn't all bad but I didn't want Aya influencing Sierra on any answer she would give me.
Driving my car onto the street that they lived. I couldn't only describe it as an semi good neighborhood. And as I pulled into their driveway, I took noticed of their house. It was small but liveable I guess. But I didn't want my child living this type of way. I wanted them to live somewhere more suitable to my tastes.
As of now, as I turned the car off, sighed. I couldn't hold it in any longer because it's been on my mind since the last time I'd took them home.
" Sierra I have something to speak to you about. "
" Okay, what's on your mind ? " she asked turning around to look at me.
" Don't be upset for what I am about to say to you, okay. "
" So you know am gonna be upset. So why are you even going to say it in the first place ? " she asked skeptical.
I knew I should just wait until a later date. But I couldn't wait plus time was slipping away. And what can I say am a jump ahead first kind of guy when need be. With the will and all but I wouldn't bring that up just yet.
" Well, how do you feel about if I would buy an house for you and Aya ? "
" Chan I can't accept that. Please we are happy where we are. So you don't have go to the trouble at all, " she said staring me straight in the eyes then went to open the door but it didn't. Because I haven't unlocked it yet because I knew she would want to leave immediately after I suggested this.
" Why ? I want my daughter to grow up in a nice home. Plus you can't stay with your parents forever. "
" Are you finished ? Because I and my child can live anywhere we damn well please. And mother loves us being there if that's any of your business, " she said but I could tell she was seething with anger.
Trying for the door again, it came open for her this time. Only because while we were talking I unlocked it. And she got out, opened the back door leaning in and picking up Aya. Then walked around the car, didn't look back until I rolled the window down to say.
" Goodnight. "
And she looked back, said " Goodnight, " at to the front door of her house.
And I watched them enter the house then pulled out of driveway, headed to the hospital.
And only did so because I was on call in a couple hours.

Sierra's pov~
I couldn't believe he had the audacity to suggest that where we stayed wasn't good enough..
I knew what he was trying to say. And he tried to play it down to my parents wouldn't want us to stay in her house for long. No what he was truly saying was he didn't like the type of neighborhood we lived in.
Aya and I were fine just where we're at. And no I won't be giving in, I'm not gonna let this get to me either. I don't even want to think about what would happen if I gave in to his request.
So I chose not to think of it anymore as I stepped into the shower. Because tomorrow was Sunday, I needed to rest. I didn't need to be worrying all night over this.

Monday afternoon at lunch ~
I was having lunch with Jazz, Sarah and Sam.
When Sam announced " You know the Charity event that the hospital is hosting. Well my uncle is because he's on board of the hospital. Well he told me go in his place. I have two tickets, need someone to attend it with me, " we all listened attentively.
Sarah said " I'm married " flashing her ring.
" I think I have a date that night, " Jasmine said shoving some food in her mouth.
" Well that leaves you, " Sam said giving me that look that said please don't say no.
" I don't know. I mean I never went to one plus......" I was saying before I was cut off.
" Unfortunately you're going to have to find someone else to take because she going with me, " Chan spoke behind us and we all turned to look at him with different ranges of emotions.
