In all fairness, I shouldn't have kept Aya from her father. But in my defense, I didn't know where he was or I really just didn't want to find him back then.
Sierra's pov~
But looking at them now, it's like they were never apart. I have some mixed emotions about the past, the future. And in that future....
I don't see us together.
" Mommy ? Mommy I'm finished with my hotdog. Now can we go on that spin whirly ride next, " Aya asked bringing me out of my thoughts. As I focused on my baby, her father they both were staring at me for my answer.
" We'll go but let's rest a bit more. I don't want you puking on unsuspecting riders, " I told her laughing but definitely wasn't wishing for this become a reality.
" I'm pretty sure she won't. She's a strong girl, " Chan added as they both stood, begin walk away.
" Don't say I told you so, " I replied following suit catching up with them.
..............................
But it was me who felt a little queasy. And the ride wasn't the only thing that throw me through a loop. I thought I saw someone familiar just staring at us. After we exited the ride, the person that was watching us was already gone. It was very similar to what happened in South Carolina. For the life of me, I couldn't place him. And as I berated myself, I ran straight into Chan, he caught me by the arms saying something to me. But my mind was million miles away. What was going on ? I just felt like something wasn't right.
" Sierra ? What's wrong ? Are you alright ? " Chan asked out of concern as he guided me over to an seating area, sat me down, Aya sat down next to me. Everything sounded super loud around us, sweat began trickle down my forehead.
With Chan in front shaking me to get my attention. I finally snapped out of it. And focused on him, what he was saying.
" Oh it's was nothing. I just thought I saw someone I knew, " I answered him still feeling uneasy. Not if I wanted to share this with him. So I grabbed Aya's hand, walked over to the next ride with Chan trailing behind us.
............................Chan's pov~
As I watched the two most important girls in my life, head to the restrooms.
I sat at an picnic table, thought on how Sierra reacted to something she saw earlier. And how I know this, is because her attention was focused on something in the crowd. She was too focused, looked to be even a bit frightened. I wondered what she was not telling me. I didn't want to push her for information. I did want her trust that she could come to me when she would need something or to even talk like we used to back in college.
But I went, messed that up, all. I just want to be that someone for her. Maybe after tonight I will be. And just on time, it was the call I've been waiting for.
" Hey Chan ! Are you having a good time with your soon to be family, " my sister said cheerfully into the phone.
" Yes I am. And hopefully that what you just spoke will come true Sis. "
" Okay. First think positive. Second I'm pulling my finishing touches on everything. All I need is Sierra to move forward with the plan Aya and I planned, " she sounded serious on the other end of the phone.
" You really planned things with a four year old, " I asked astonished, wondered what she would talk about with my daughter. But if it helps my case. I'll take what I can get.
" We just talked girl stuff Chan. Don't worry, tell her I'll see her soon, " she said.
" Okay. I'll tell her. "
" Tell her what ? " Sierra asked as she sat down at the picnic table.
" Yeah. Who are you talking to Daddy ? " Aya asked as she stood up on the bench, tried to grab the phone out of my hand like she knew who I was talking to.
And she did, started talking a mile a minute to Nan, not for too long she handed me back my phone.
" Now say you're sorry. You can be snatched other people's things. I didn't teach you to behave like that. You hear me Aya, " Sierra said coming around the table to explain, disciplined her.
" I'm sorry, " Aya turned to me with her head down, with a tear in her eye.
" It's okay Sierra. It's fine. It's alright Aya honey. So don't cry, " I assured her, rubbed her shoulders before she began to full out cry.
" Okay, " she said as she reached over to hug her mom.

After a few more rides that Aya wanted to get on. The sun went down, the carnival was lit up in lights. But I knew we couldn't stay any longer if the plan would work.
Suddenly, my phone rang, it the hospital, I look towards Sierra and Aya.
" What's wrong ? " Sierra asked as I hung up the phone, put it in my pocket.
" I have to go to the hospital. It's an emergency. I'll have my sister to come, pick you two up, " I stood up, rushed away, only looked back to wave goodbye.
......................
When I got to my car, inside. I pulled out my phone, called my sister telling her the details.
And she replied with an okay. Then I knew that everything would be taking care of.
Sorry for taking forever, the errors. I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter 😊
